How quickly are prior 121 folks getting responses after applying? I've got 2700 121 TT but I got out of the game before the addition of ATP-CTP to the FARs so I don't have my ATP. Back in the stone ages you only needed your commercial multi to be an FO and you got your ATP as part of CA upgrade. I'm assuming that would knock me out of getting to bypass the interview.

Just curious, what would the threshold for this be? If you were out for a couple years, but were current and logged some time flying GA, would that suffice, or do they want to see that you were flying jets or turboprops?

Haven't touched a plane since I left. Good to know because I've been simming to brush up but exclusively in the CRJ that I flew. A twin Baron with no FD is a wholly different animal altogether. It has been quite easy to knock the rust of flying the RJ but ironically I bet it might a bit rougher to spin up on a piston twin, which I haven't touched in nearly 20 years!

I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the muscle memory returned but spinning up on a piston twin with no FD is a wholly different animal that I haven't gotten behind the wheel of in 20 years!

Not 100% sure, but I believe the “recency” requirement is 100 hours in past 12 months. I don’t think the airframe matters. You can search some of the other threads as they have talked about it. You can always TRY and contact recruiting, but that seems to be rather futile.

Same here, but did my fingerprints/drug screen/logbook review on August 3rd. Apparently the FAA or Mesa didn’t get my paperwork back to Envoy until last week.
Now I have to make the decision between staying at Mesa and upgrading, or moving to Envoy as a DEC.
Any advice from current Envoy employees would be appreciated. Gonna be commuting from Louisiana. Have about 4-5 direct flights daily.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve heard good things about Envoy’s training department and I think that’s the deciding factor. Mesa, not so much.

Just bumping this back up since it got buried. I'm curious if a prior 121 person coming in with a less than 1000 SIC would have to upgrade right away when they hit 1000 or can they decide to remain a FO.
