I heard Republic flying out of MIA is being reduced.

I have been on property 3 years and 9 months. There are 210 DFW FO lines for June, 110 FO RSV lines. I have 20 people ahead of me on RSV for June, of which maybe only 5 are choosing to be on RSV. If the FO you flew with had a line it was probably because he was in a base that was closing down. This month we had 216 lines, next month down to 210. Management and planners are absolute morons! What successful airline operates at 35% reserve?

not sure what status you're in, but I've been here over 4 years and can't hold a line. I'm stuck on reserve.

If mgt. had their way, we'd ALL be on reserve so they could have max flexibility in whatever they want to do.

5 yrs to AA?

If something sounds too good to be true...

How's that bad news for AWAC?

Reserve time here is long because we've been shrinking for the last 3 years. As we continue to flow guys month after month, take 175 deliveries, and hold the CRJ's longer than planned, our "right size" is rapidly approaching.

Reserve is only 3 years for the guys hired 3 years ago. I'd expect a new hire to sit reserve for about a year. About a year from now, I'm guessing that reserve time will drop even more.

CRJ has been way less. Around 6 months FO's were holding lines. This place has always been that way, just depends when exactly you get hired and on what equipment/domicile. Some guys have it way worse than others depending on DOH. People hired 3-4 years ago got the worst of it because of everything bad that happened. Those time frames really don't mean anything to a new hire because it constantly changes for each class. Guys hired ahead of me sat reserve for a couple years, I sat reserve for 2 months.. Guys below me sat reserve for years again.

Things will change again soon with all the displacements and training coming up.. Lots of senior FO's going to the 175 soon so that will move guys up the 145 list.. As long as we don't lose them all too fast..

A new hire today could see a lot better movement than someone hired 4 years ago.. ***If things go as advertised.

It's all just getting in at the right time, and luck.

Lots of senior F/O's moving up to the 175 ? You'll only get perhaps 15-20 by next Summer (2016) at the most, so that's 75-100 F/O's. That doesn't spunds like "lots" in a 2000 pilot airline. Additionally, exactly who is "advertising" all this supposed great news so things go as you and others claim ?

I've yet to hear either Envoy or AAG advertise a single thing. All I've heard is the trumpet blowing of one of your reps with a very shaky rep himself.

Finally, someone gets it. The guys hired right around bankruptcy really had (have) it rough with all the shrinking. But, with our flow through (which is working, every month) and outside hiring, we will soon be past this period of stagnation.

I've been ****ed off the last couple of years with what's happened here at eagle, but it's about to get better.

Yes, PSA is taking the CRJs with two already up in MQT. But, we are training pilots for the 175 and will be replacing the CRJs with 175s. Really doesn't matter. Our pay rates are the same for FOs regardless of fleet type. Might as well give PSA our old worn out planes and get some brand new ones, right?
