I was under the impression that that didn't apply to new equipment coming onto property?

Question1. Will current FOs be able to bid the 175 or will it be new hires only. Example as when the nextgen CRJs came on property and were placed in NY the EMB FOs could not bid it.

Answer: According to 15.G.2.a of our CBA, a turbo-jet FO may not bid to different turbo-jet equipment.

That's wrong, a New equipment can be bid by FOs on the first bid is my understanding.

Talking to yourself again, eh ?

Perhaps you're playing forum tag with your clueless F/O while at the gate in DFW ?

Naahhh.........you're talking to yourself.

Good Luck.

Only 40 are on the way right ?

That's perhaps 200 F/O's and I'm sure those bids will go senior, possibly with the exception of the junior RSV's. In that case, you'd be on reserve forever and that will get old VERY fast, especially if you commute. It would seem anyone wanting to go to Envoy should anticipate a banged up old E-145, but you'll get to fly with a few "real men" captains there in DFW, where men are men and the sheep are nervous.

Read the contract guys.

J. INTRODUCTION OF NEW EQUIPMENT 1. When new equipment is introduced at a domicile, any pilot may bid for and be awarded a vacancy created in the new equipment in order of system seniority, in accordance with his permanent bid file.
