New Envoy Information

Unfortunately, there's history in embellished promises to new-hires there. Back in the late '90's up until Letter 3 expired, they made similar promises to new-hires then about flowing to AA in X years along with other rosy projections. When Letter 3 was announced in 1997, it was then projected that all Eagle pilots would be at AA in 5 years.
They were just a bit off.
They were just a bit off.
Flows are more of a retention tool than a good hiring tool it would seem. At least that is what history tells us. Anyway, with PSA and now Envoy having a seemingly difficult time hiring... And other regionals offering far more enticing compensation and contracts, I would think that AAG has to do something if they want to keep their regionals afloat and competitive enough to attract new hires.

I certainly did, but that doesn't mean they aren't using the same playbook and that's what matters. If the same playbook is used (which is obvious and undeniable), it matters little who the company has become. That's one of the fundamental errors many have made there now. They assumed there was no difference and thus couldn't differentiate that which really governs the game. Now, it's starting to sink in and thus the skyrocketing heartburn that's occurring. Nothing has really changed there except the name and faces.

Is it trolling if it's true? Every month that goes by with no bid vacancy current FO's fall another month behind whatever rainbow/unicorn projection our management spouts. Effectively needing to double whatever CA vacancy should have been announced in Dec, Jan and now Feb. Further and further behind our guys fall, on RSV, commuting, capped at 4th year pay, not upgrading, not flowing. But hey our performance numbers are great so everything's good right?

Thanks. Now that you mention the name, it sounds very familiar. I need it for an employment history, but couldn't find any files from back then.

The math and numbers that RW has put out have been run over and over by people way more competent that I, and trust me, they are good. Charlie Bucket will not be more than a month or two behind if that. I would still expect a 2.5 year upgrade for those hired today and a flow in 6 years or less. With the math that's been run and put out to ALPA and the pilot group, it's more or less a fact.
Add in the best work rules in the regional industry, it should make your time here go by in a breeze.
