Anybody ORD based that can give any detail in regards to that?
Rumor has no 175 slots for the rest of the year due to training backlog

One thing I will say is that the 145 still has the greatest variety in flying. You can do short hops or you can do long hops all in one trip which keeps things entertaining. The Miami flying is fun, and we're going to start overnighting in the Bahamas next month from what I saw on the NRTP on my.eaglevoyjet.com. It's really not a bad gig. Not perfect but no regional is.
What does the CRJ flying look like in terms of destinations, legs per day, etc.?

I'm not in the CRJ but from what my friend's schedules look like mostly 3-4 legs (long ones) IAH, SAT, BDL, EWR, and lots of flying through DFW. To be honest, it changes every month even for us. A lot of places are also served by both planes.

Astounding. The grouchy crowd has departed and we have some honest pros and cons. Glad to see it rather than scores of pages wasted bickering.

Indeed! I would prefer to read useful info rather than weeding through all the bickering while I'm waiting to come here. The other airlines don't seem to have quite as much of it, though there is a fair amount all around.

I agree. The only time I've had trouble commuting is during bad wx days. There have been times where I give up and just stay the night in ORD for an early departure. Sometimes, if it looks really bad, I've done the two leg/outstation commute on our own metal. You do have many options.

Exactly, don't feed into the trolls and negativity and just be nice even when they're not.

There's no reason why this forum topic post cant show the highs and lows without being nasty. We're all adults here.

Furthermore slinging mud at eachother is something I did in 2nd grade lol. We're mature now.Or at least I'd like to think!

So lets keep the trend going!

DFW commute to ORD should be easy enough, but would prefer not to. Not quite a deal-breaker... And I have a few months before I get a class.
Dfw-Ord commute is a pain. I did it for a while and often deadhead the route and would see guys try to get on all the time and not be able to go.

DFW is a training base so crews are constantly going back and forth for training. It's not uncommon for pilots to try three or four times to get on.

This airline has been through A LOT in 5ish past years. Planned divestiture. Bankruptcy. Merger. Concessions. Base closures. Increasing management scrutiny.

It's left a lot of people jaded.
