Go for the E-175. New and shiny and almost certainly better schedules. Plus, in any fragmentation of the airline done by fleet in the future, you'll most likely end up at a better place (still a wholly-owned) with more security. It's a no-brainer.

Eaglefly is misleading. In all actuality, the 145 will give the best QOL. It is the largest fleet with the most flying. Also, seniority is more important than equipment with the CRJ brining the exception. If you want the ORD base, any equipment will do. Reserve for the 145 is not long anymore, maybe 5 months.

The regional industry is dying and the larger, newer jets have longer shelf lives and better odds AFAIC. The little Embraers are turbofan powered dinosaurs only viable now due to cheap fuel.

Four years from now, which aircraft will still be used? The 145 or the 175? What about in 10 years? I'd put all my eggs in the 175 basket, personally.

So do you think my friend who's been EMJ reserve for 3 years in DFW would vouch for this?

ORD E175 will have new hires bidding lines and they will be senior on that equipment almost immediately. No other FO's on property can bid it besides DFW 175 FO transfers, and there probably won't be that many of those.

The reason why it's relevant is that if you are backtracking on your claims as flying for Allegiant, then you are proving yourself to be a LIAR. So, why would a self-proclaimed "envoy truther" be lying? Someone couldn't pass training at envoy and is a little butt hurt!!!

Currently, 4 months from reserve to composite lineholder, ORD 145 FO.
Also, newhires from earlier this year are getting their transfers to their preferred base.
Before locking yourself in an aircraft you can't transfer out of, or skipping out on a job, consider the things I just mentioned.
