I just urge using caution for the time being due to its small size and lack of East coast bases. Also we formerly had a base 4x the size there. Also it's the easiest commute from sju and mia.

So after bidding for airframe do they stick us wherever we are needed (ORD seems to be the spot for the moment) or do we also get to bid for base as well?

Your bid will have equipment and base together. They aren't separate. The company will use a three letter code that identifies the base, seat, and equipment for each bid and that's what will be put up on the board. More than likely, your class will see OFE (ORD 145), OFC (ORD CRJ), and maybe LGA slots if the current bid doesn't fill the base.

The first hour of class is fun and exciting. Bonus check, you find out your bid, and you get your iPad. I hope you enjoy it and welcome to Envoy.

Valid points. I'm very intrigued to see where the FO needs are after they release the results of the last bid. The most important part will be getting on the right fleet so that a base transfer is possible.

The needs won't be on the 175 seeing many just got into that airframe and training is backlogged. I think it will be 145 and CRJ. Most likely 145 is hurting most for replacements.

Someone asked this a few pages back but I didn't see an answer. Is indoc the same as a class date? I'm going to indoc on the 24th, so is that my class date?

Yes, start of indoc is class date and date of hire (DOH).

...YES, that's when they will issue your base and equipment accordingly to age! higher age = higher priority, younger age = lower priority.

I'm not sure if this is when they will provide your IDs and ipads(if you already didn't receive it). your seniority begins on this date.

good luck and enjoy, see you on the line

Thanks fellas. I kept reading and hearing about people getting delayed to a training class so I wasn't sure if they were the same. Does training run over weekends or do we fly home Friday night and come back Sunday? I'm looking at the training schedule in the handout they give us at the interview and it shows indoc as 5 days in week 1, but weeks 2-3 are 14 days long. I'm assuming that means we finish indoc Friday, leave Friday night, come back Sunday, do the emergency procedures the first 3 days and then go back home for 10 days doing home study. My previous employer asked if I wanted to come back and work a bit when I was home so I'm trying to get a better idea of the schedule so I can make a little extra cash. Thanks again for the info.

While there is no training on the weekends. Except for Sims. The company continues to pay for your hotel and it is encouraged that you stay and study/bond with your class.

Just got an email from AR in HR an hour ago... ipads are given out day one of class, and i'm making the assumption that's when we get our ID badges as well (considering I haven't taken any photo for a badge and i'm 10/24 class date)

Anyone here besides me and pntbllr going to the 24th for class?
