Why would you recommend to anyone starting 121 today to do so in a prop? Commutair has no jets yet, and Piedmont can't staff the ones that they were supposed to already have.
As for your flow/interview postulation, from what I have read, those are about as trustable as your average politician's promises. Particularly the interview option.

Only reason to come to Mesa... You live in Dallas and Envoy already said no. I don't know if Express Jet is much better than Mesa, it seams they have better work rules, that's another option.
Problem with Mesa on the CA side, every base is senior. You will be on reserve until the day you leave Mesa as a Jr. CA. 2013 hires have lines some months, reserve others.

Go to an airline that is shrinking every year and has one of the longest upgrades? I'm not sure where you are getting your info? We have CA 2015 hires in DFW right now and the 2014 are close to holding a line. I'm actually glad we are overstaffed because it means I'm not getting junior manned all over the place and can drop trips.

I'm not sure what reserve is like for you but if you live in base its better than holding a line right now. I'm two years in and pretty close to the bottom of reserve and I hardly ever work. October was my last 4 day trip only because I couldn't dead head out. I get an over night about once a week with the rest being turns or no calls. About every other month I end up with a lost weekend. About three or four times a month I get ready reserve and less than half the time I get called out on those trips. So ill take my 75 guaranteed and work a few turns for OT and make 90-95 and enjoy my time away from work.

At envoy we have at least 360 Captain's flowing to AA this year. In addition to them, there are about 50 envoy pilots who have been given job offers (outside of the flow) that will be going to AA this year as well. Based on AA's retirement schedule and projected 2017 hiring, about 360 envoy Captains will be flowing that year as well. This is in addition to the attrition to DAL, UAL, Spirit etc.
Management claims that they 250 upgrades planned for this year is based on hiring only 15 pilots per month. (We have yet to see the actual bid but that is their claim) So far for the last few months we have gotten twice that amount. It stands to reason then, so long as we have new hires replacing them, we should be upgrading new Captains to replace those leaving on a one to one ratio.

2017 will be a totally different story. The flows will consist of the remaining 824 and the I would expect it to slow significantly. Maybe 8 or 10 a month if we are lucky.
Bottom line, unless you want to stagnate in the right seat for years at $40 an hour capped at a 4 year pay scale, I wouldn't recommend Envoy.

Sorry. Have to correct your numbers a bit. In 2016 Envoy will likely flow 300-320 Captains. As for Envoy street hires at AA in 16, it won't be much more than a handful. Maybe 12. Certainly not 50. I would say Envoy attrition from both seats to other carriers in 16 would be around 100.

None of that is correct... I don't know where you think you get your information from but that is wrong. Oh course, accurate information isn't really what you are trying to do, is it? You just pull stuff out of now where hoping someone will believe you. But keep trying. Maybe someone will be stupid enough to believe you and your Reverend's Sermons.

Only if AA hires ONLY 16-20 per month, which is unlikely. (CBA letter 12-04, Grievance Settlement for MEC-0411)

I actually like to kick back and drink a beer. Not getting called on reserve is nice, but I cant do the above while sitting on it. Since I have been at mesa I could easily hold 18 days off a month with 90 credit hours as an fo. Never had to deal with doing paper jepps"not sure if eagle has finally gotten away from it?" Capt reserve is just like what you are describing..... except we cant pick up trips for OT.
Good Luck!

Agreed with Sky. This is junk.
