It is heavily taxes, but it applies to regular income when you file your return so you will get money back from it on your return. Company takes it out for you

The amount they withhold depends on how many exemptions you take. Still like the guy says above it applies to regular income tax.

That's a really good point. Over at 9E our company wants to either extend retention bonuses for the long term, or increase pay rates at the end of bonuses since the uncertainty is a major turn off for applicants. We still have several years before the bonuses end, but the new generation is more forward looking so they want to get ahead of the curve.
Can't see why the other regionals would be immune to the same.

70 new hires in two months is a significant step in the right direction for clearing up stagnation. Now that we have this new pay scale I am hopeful we will able to do even better.

If anyone currently commuting to DFW or ORD from Austin or San Antonio would be willing to talk to me about trip commutability I would really appreciate the input. Please PM if this is too off the "pay increases at Envoy" topic. Thanks.

I saw January 2016 hires had lines as of a couple of months ago. Lines come out today, so I'll update the current time for ORD FO junior line holder in a couple of days when it goes final.
