Thanks for the info. To give a little more info, I'm 58 years old so "flowing" isn't really going to be an issue, I just need to get a job with benefits and as decent as possible QOL. I live near ATL and am unwilling to move so am considering options in light of that. Also, although I have a lot of flight time, I have none that meets the "1000" hour SIC requirement for captain upgrade. Until a week or so ago, I wasn't really considering a regional but the playing field has changed and it's looking more appealing to me now. It would be nice to find something with a base in ATL but the possibilities seem limited. I'm still researching at this point but hope to pull the trigger on something soon. Just finished updating my resume today. (first time in a quarter century, lol)

I'm not familiar enough with the aircraft in mention to know if one is "better" than the other. And since I would be commuting to either ORD or DFW it appears, would there be any advantage of one over the other?
As far as I'm concered, I would fly the hangar's door, if it give's me better qol. Depending on where you live, I sugest you chose the aircraft most likely to give you that base. They are all airplanes, after all... This is a job, not a hobby. What matters, is the paycheck and qol.
But that's just me...

E175 has that technology edge that the E145 nor the CRJ700 doesn't have. LCC and Majors like to see some experience in such types.

This is the dumbest post I've ever seen. Would love to know where you got this info from, except that I know you have no clue what you're talking about and are still very new to the industry.

Man all I can say is thank god there's a flow. Flying a plane with little automation...mainline would never pick me up.

All Im saying is that the transition from a E175 to lets say, an Airbus will be more simple than coming from a E145 or worst a Turbo Prop.

Over the last couple of years ENY has flowed pilots to AA, most have come from the E45 and CR7 and have transitioned to the 737,A320 and MD80. Most of the ones that have washed out in recent memory have done so in the MD80 program. The transition to lower automation has caused some their careers. PDT flows Dash-8 drivers to the A320 and E90, I haven't heard much of people washing out.

I have flown the ATR, CRJ, E45 and E75. The least amount of flying and systems intervention required has been the on E75. I felt my flying skills were the best when I was flying the ATR, and I am talking about more that stick and rudder.

At least in Navy flight training, guys had a harder time going from glass cockpits to steam gauges than vice versa.

Sooo... any word what the big news that's supposed to be announced today is?
