That helps, and makes sense. Training Freeze, how does that work? I thought if you were within 14 days of starting training, or in training, you could not bid, and thus would have to bid as a CA after, and thus the 30% rule apply. ie not eligible to bid again until done with training?

Can displaced FOs bid anytime no matter what?

Thousand pages of goodies. Thought a moment of recognition, and perhaps a moment of silence is due.

How long does it usually take for the flow plan to post?

Im a new hire still in training and was awarded a different base, should I expect to spend zero time at my original base once im done with IOE? Or do they put transfer dates a couple months out?

The flow plan will spell out the date where you report to your new base. If that date is after IOE, you might see your original base. If it's before or during, you won't see your original base unless you are assigned an IOE trip out of it.

On a different note, displacements OUT of NCE? Something is going on.

Not necessarily. I haven't dug in at all to check, but those could have been pilots still in training prior to fed ride that bid FO are awarded and then subsequently displaced to a different base. Not exactly a displacement out of NCE.

Hey All, if the loads are light, any issues taking a spouse or minor-aged child with you on an overnight with a D1/D2?

How about international to Canada or MX if they have a passport?

TIA

I'd love to learn something new today. There are tons of them.

My only worry would be, what happens if the previous flight cancels and the whole rest of the day goes oversold. If its your wife and kids she can manage the children and get on the next flight, spend an extra night in hotel etc.

If its just your child what will happen in the above circumstances. Once the kids are old enough to hotel and or non rev on their own then it's no big deal.
