I hear about people bringing along spouses on lost days and trips every once in awhile. What your spouse does with non-rev travel is their business. Whether it’s a flight you’re working or not.
Regarding unaccompanied minors, without your spouse traveling with, not sure. Probably wouldn’t want to roll those bones in case you get reassigned.

What about hotel shuttles any issues getting spouse on? Or is it forbidden while with crew?
Haven’t tried it yet, she wants to, I’m wondering what have others done???? Any issues?

Also saw a FA whose husband was left behind and had to find another way home due to an over sell.
Good info. Thank you.

Yeah don't see any fitting the criteria I mentioned. Ignore that!
They can't displace out of a base unless there is a displacement posted or someone else displaces in on top of them. The base can't shrink without notification.

Quite a few FOs bidding back to LGA due to sucky reserve in ORD and DFW

I bring my wife on overnights all the time, I never have any issues with any of the process other than making sure the loads are good. As long as they look half way decent, you should have no issues. Hotel rooms and vans are not a problem. I have even gotten extended checkouts for my wife if she is taking a later flight home. Have a good time with your family!

No one cares. I'd mention it to the captain, as a courtesy, but that's about the extent of that.

As others have said, no issue unless the shuttle is planning to be full with multiple crews. Maybe call the hotel ahead of time and ask what thier pickup schedule looks like. You may want to just get you and her an uber if it looks sketchy. Besides, you probably wouldn't want to subject her to hearing all the b!tching and moaning that airline crew members do on the van anyway! LOL!

Man, I wish I could get my wife to join me on an overnight. But standby travel... not her thing.
There are a few of our overnights where transportation is by a car that will fit only 3 crew. On those, I'd uber.
I would never try this with JUST a child too young to spend the night on their own at an airport/hotel. Flights get overbooked, airplanes get broken, and flight crews time out. Now if my wife was traveling with the kid(s) on said occasion, that's another story.

There was an HI6 a while ago about calling the hotel to confirm that you will have an additional person. like others have said, some hotels only plan on having the small car or van but will be glad to change if they know before hand.
