What you all forget to understand is that AA doesn't control the flow valve as much as you all think.
remember when AA asked for 40 flows a month at the beginning of this year? how did that work out? That's right Mr. Rick Wilson told them envoy couldn't send more then the 25 a month and AA said "ok we will find the new hires another way" guess which way that was? yep you guess it......they increased off the street hires.
AA doesn't care where they get the new hires from as long as they get them. same with envoy. as along as people are in class they don't care how they get there.

Besides, if hiring is really going to pick up as you say that they'll be forced to increase flow, it should be easy for us to get to AA through the front door, right? Let's not pretend AA (or any of the mainlines in the US) doesn't have thousands of applicants at their disposal to tap into. They can be picky. For now.

All you flow haters are crazy. The flow is 100% worth it. If you really think it’s going to take a new hire 9 years to flow in this hiring environment you are out of your mind. Flow will have to be increased to keep up with AA’s hiring goals. Delta and United are just ramping up their hiring and attrition will continue to rise. I wouldn’tbe suprised if the entire envoy seniority list was gone in 5 years.

Envoy is filling classes to the extent they need and even has a hiring pool right now. As such, they have no reason to ffflllooowwww beyond contractually required metered minimums.
They MAY decide they need to adjust ffflllooowwww up to keep hiring at WO going but that would be against history.
More than likely, people like you (you know who you are) will keep coming here for ffflllooowwww. The WO will not have issues filling classes. AA will hire OTS to make up the difference from what they need from minimum fffllloowww and these OTS hires will come from Endevor, Republic, Skywest, military, corporate guys with conections, etc. Because this allows them to keep their cheap labor WO regionals in tact.
I’ve heard some hiring rumors like AA wants more than ffflllooowwww from WO and WO refuses and AA will hire OTS WO to make up the difference but those kind of rumors holds little water to me when both are owned by AAG. If that was good for AAG, that would happen through ffflllooowwww above minimum metering.
ALSO, ffflllooowwww has made this pilot group lazy. So few truely have their apps out and keep them updated. Attrition is lower here than elsewhere which compounds the issue.

I'm not sure about the "hiring pool". First class date they offered after the CJO was 2 weeks from the offer. So clearly the pool isn't too deep.

15 years in engineering, 10 years as a C-level guy, but with education from abroad that does not translate directly into a 4 year degree.
I can beat Taleo and most other ATS's, but I will always be under the median experience level of my peers, so I would struggle getting hired OTS.

Envoy
Stay tuned as CA’s leave from the top or middle of the seniority list *outside of flow*. Where those CA’s get hired OTS *outside the flow* is up to AAG. Haha! The notion people within 6months-2 years of flow will not leave Envoy when called by another carrier mainline is laughable.
Stay tuned to movement like a hawk, especially in 2019. Interesting times ahead. Looking forward to listening to Q3 results from AAG.
