Anyone kind of have the magic sauce on how to make sure you're not getting gyped pay? I know on reserve I'm not breaking the guarantee so I don't have to worry about that so just make sure I'm getting paid for my OT (150% so it should be around $57 an hour {Year 1 F/O}) trips correct? And what about keeping track of per diem. I've heard about things like EZPerdiem or Per Diem tracker or something?

You guys like how the 175 goes senior to the old guys who half the time can’t work an iPhone and have 6000k round gauge twin time....OR the cadet gets first pick on it, so he can get nice and squishy before he gets tossed to the 145 LGA in a year and a half

If you show up for class knowing how the rules work for aircraft bidding then there shouldn’t be any complaining. At the point you made the choice to come here.

Default KCM Checkpoints

Quick question for all of you commuters. With KCM is there a limit on the size of liquids that you can take through the checkpoint(more than 3oz)? Second if you go out of an airport that doesn't have a KCM checkpoint do you just go through the TSA pre check and if so how does liquid limits affect you in that aspect. I've search the form will no luck and KCM website is as grey as FAR's.

When it comes to KCM, it doesn’t matter the size of the liquids that you carry, and as long as you are in uniform, the TSA will exempt you from the 3-1-1 rule as well. Where to will have trouble is commuting out of an airport without KCM and in street clothes, then you are subject to the same rules as everyone else.

For OT you can look in your the pay sheet (different from your epay, click on the activity pay sheet tab when you go to the epay page). It has a breakdown of the all the trips you worked. It’s kind of screwy looking at it the first time, but on the bottom left of the sheet it should have the OT listed. I think they list the trip value * 50% time of the trip worked * payrate. Then that will be added on top of the normal value for the trip to get to the 150%. Take that with a grain of salt because I could have just totally botched the explanation of it. The union website has a good spread sheet you can use to accurately track everything as it goes.

For security purposes, we don't talk KCM, Jumpseating, TSA on public forums.

There are very good reasons for the info not being found on KCM, forums, and websites.

Sensitive questions you need/should be asking your CA’s in flight, your classmates, Q&A during Indoc, ground school, Sim Instructor, IOE flights, line Captains during cruise flight, Crew room... speak with a CA, FA, FO you recognize, go to the CPO/Inflight Office and ask them. Everyone plays a role in protecting SSI that could be used to cause harm. Bad folks do fish through online forums like this.
