Stop and think how your statement would be implemented.

If AA hired 26 in a month, Envoy would be entitled to 25 of the 26 slots. That would make it impossible to fulfill contractually required flows from PSA and Piedmont.

If AA hired 200 in a month (realistically possible at maximum retirements), Envoy would be entitled to 100 of the 200 slots. That would be equal to hiring half of Envoy’s total pilots in a single year. That would not be a sustainable operation in Envoy.

Both cases illustrate your interpretation is not what AA would contractually agree to.

I agree it is bad wording, kind of like you don’t not like to avoid double negatives.
AA having 3 WOs is a problem. To many mouths to feed. One needs to be eliminated by merger, then the other 2 can share the respected percentage of the flow classes.

No, that’s what the subject to 50% means....
26 a month, Envoy sends 13
46 a month, Envoy sends 23
56 a month, Envoy sends 28, but may withhold at 25. It still owes the 50% though

No, it means they’d withhold at 25 for the month, but would still owe the rest. They literally argued at the bargaining table that if the airline flowed out of existence that is what they’d do.

I hated the wording when it was presented in executive session and argued round and round with the lawyers that it would lead to exactly this confusion and misinterpretation.

It is in fact written to require parking planes if need be. Staffing is not justification for not meeting 50%, they agreed to park planes before violating flow. The negotiations notes on the subject were to have been preserved on both sides as I understood it.

AND we all know reserve is a problem here. But come on. You really think that because GoJets has better reserve rules it makes it better than envoy? If so they'd have a mass exodus going there.

Heck, one regional is offering to bypass reserve by showing up for Indoc, then sending you home on unpaid leave. How's that sound?
Curious which regional has done away with reserve?

Gojet has had some sort of advanced seniority set up under certain scenarios. Show up for indoc then go back to your other job for 6 months while occurring seniority

I'm down to 10 or 9 days off. How do I go about getting a days worth of flying removed to take it up to 11? Swaps and drops??? Phone? Email RF100 yo mama so fat????
So if the day in between is coded 7D then it is considered a 30 hour rest. It is NOT considered a day off for the 11 days off.

What does a D7 designate? Also, the company is claiming that since I have an early SIM, I do not get a travel day back to base.

Short answer no. Jumpseat domestically, but.....

I recommend you reach out to: Captain See Me Wall, Captain We So Slow, and Captain Me Too Low on the Asiana Jumpseat committee, they might have a better answer for you.

Try standby MyID90/ OAL travel, Standby. Small fee.
