This is definitely a clear turning point for this airline. It basically seems the union is presenting this as:
YES vote - 175s and a “secret contingency” United buys a majority stake
NO vote - status quo, current trajectory into the ground

I worded my statement poorly. I meant to say if the contingency DOESN’T happen. In other words, if INC doesn’t own a majority in January, then I think it means good things and new hires will come.

Contract 2018
You can’t really blame the xjt side. The asa MEC is responsible to communicate with the pilots they represent.
Huh?
He just told you. He can’t tell you an exact dollar amount because it varies based on your individual pilot’s credit hours.
You could work out a minimum bonus by using monthly guarantee and the guaranteed minimum payout ($140 million).
The bonus could vary with a change in profits, but there is $140 million guarantee even if they aren’t profitable at all.

Your falling for SGU’s trap!! That’s exactly how they tried to pitch it to SkyWest pilots. “But you have to add”.... your “incentive” money... Just looking at $hr. Im $2 more a hour on the 50 seat then I would be there on your 76 seat scale. Not even counting the 15k a year i will have in bonus money. That can disappear anytime they want it to..
Actually, it seems that the language of the QED is to have Skywest pilots fall for SGU’s trap. The QED will pay out if you average 70 credit hours a month. Minimum guarantee is 75 hours. So you literally can just fly your awarded line (or call in sick or have vacation) and get 100% of that money regardless of profits, performance, multipliers, or how much anyone else flies (the TA also keeps the profit sharing and the performance bonuses). The QED is purely for OPTICS aimed at the Skywest pilot to make them think their compensation is higher.
Xjt’s 410k match is 100% match of:
0-4 YOS 4%
5-9 YOS 5%
10+ YOS 6%
What is it for Skywest and is it at 100%?

Since republic was brought up... I created this for you.
"Current Rates" for YX are what we went to when we voted in our LoA this past January. Our 2020 Rates are the last rate increase for the LOA, but we begin early negotiations at that point. Also worth pointing out is that your 50 seat Rates, which is the majority of your flying does not even match our 50 seat Rates which were negotiated in 2015.
I added two simple comparisons at the bottom. However, they are not 100% accurate. At republic we also have premium pay (paid at 125%) for all flight/Deadhead hours over 87hrs for the month, which is not included on the 95hr/mo example. There is no way to fairly add that in as we have trip/duty/min day rigs and it's quite possible to credit say 95hrs but only flown/deadheaded for say 80, which would not trigger that premium pay.
While your bonus puts you slightly ahead of our current Rates, (remember we have a rate hike in 2.5 Months), you would be better off with having no bonus and that money added into your hourly rate.
We also have higher per diem Rates @ 2.05 dom, 2.50 intl.

Can you cut and paste the bonus language from your “contract” so that people can finally fairly compare the two.

0-4=4%
5-9=6%
10-14=8%
15+=10%
Our profit sharing has a guaranteed payout, it has always been much higher than the guarantee.
I don't think we necessarily think our compensation is better, but we turned down an off that is far superior to what they offered you guys.
