I asked a question. A simple question because, as someone that has everything to gain (just as you do) by the statements you’ve made regarding the particular actions of XJT. I do follow the details of future plans at the company. Some of what you say is a bit misleading. I’m not sure if it is intentional or just due to a lack of understanding.

I’ll be the better person and refrain from personal attacks. Not a very constructive way to work together.
The negativity was in reference to the new 175 sim being used for other carriers like Mesa and Skywest since it doesn't physically reside in the current Expressjet training center building.

At the time we did have one open bay for that sim to go in. Now that a third EMB-145 sim is arriving it starts to make more sense why they installed it across the street (the original 175 sim).

I wouldn't read too much into the company installing it there. For me a third 145 sim being moved and re-certified seems fairly big as it's a larger expense and takes some work. Seems they want to get our training center at full tilt with as much instructors and sims on property as possible.

Now as for the "new" sim I assume they are referencing the rumor that has been around that we are getting a second EMB-175 sim in the building across the street? To answer your question. I'm not 100% sure either.

If they're referring to the current one that's there it isn't really "new" at this point and there's no real development there that would lend us to getting another batch of new 175's.

Hope that cleared it up. There's no need for personal attacks or infighting. Agreed.

Does United own that 175 sim? When the purchase was announced, I was under the impression that XJT was buying it, but maybe I was not paying close attention. I've been wondering why I didn't see it in the building. If it belongs to United and is in a building that is not occupied by XJT, then what would stop United from shopping it out to any other UAX carrier flying E175s?

I’m sure United bought the sim. Does Mana Air have money?

I hope you too don’t read this as being negative but XJT doesn’t own that sim. Which was my point. Ownership of millions of dollars worth of assets is very significant to a company like XJT. Knowing who owns property and facilities makes a difference when valuing the company you work for.

I firmly believe the only way to turn XJT around and make it the company everyone wants requires transparency. A bunch of misleading statements only adds to the disappointment.

While I encourage healthy optimism, telling it like it is shouldn’t be perceived as negativity.

**This is just my understanding of what LCA and sim instructors have told me (could very well be wrong)**

The 175 sim, and sim time at flight safety in STL came with the purchase of the 25 E175s.

I can also confirm that I heard that same statement from Flight Safety when I was in STL as well back over the summer. I think the confusion came when original United owned XJT sim in IAH had issues and was quickly replaced by a Flight Safety sim until that was sorted out. I’ve heard a 2nd E175 sim is on the way. It very well could actually be the original E175 for a total of two (1 United and 1 Flight Safety). I do know there is a 3rd ERJ 145 sim going up at the XJT training center. At any rate it appears United is trying to get our training department back at full tilt.

Although we disagree on the PBS thing, you’re spot on. Mesa could easily use this 175 sim and anyone else UA deems needy. Not sure why ‘we’ did the ribbon cutting.

Well for starters United Airlines does not have an investment in Mesa or Skywest. They have an investment in XJT and will continue to dump resources into XJT.

When are they going to start dumping resources? So far United owns the airplanes and sims. OO still does the IT side of things.

Actually the migration to our own system was completed a few weeks ago. Guess who now runs our servers? United does. Wrong again.
