Can't say much for the other regionals, but it appears that this Delta TA will benefit the new Expressjet, more than any other regional, for the better. Things are definitely looking good as time goes forward.
IF Delta buys XJT, expect to become part of Pinnacle. I don't know why people sound excited about the process of Delta buying us. There will be no integration, that is only a dream. So we will get screwed one way or another.

Now, now, don't confuse the lies from the sellouts with facts.

If one wants to get hired at a regional, these days, there is no need to pre-interview. XJT, along with other regionals, are having trouble filling classes. All the job fairs Xjt is going to and interviewing are the actual interview as far as panel interviewing is concerned. I was informed they do the technical testing as well on site.

Agreed. I was referring to the majors. If they want to see if you fit the mold, they call you in and interview you. That is the way it has traditionally been done. Now you have to shell out hundreds of clams to go to a job fair so they can pull your application from the stack and look at it. Lazy.

Agreed! Hundreds of dollars just to get 5 minutes of fame. Been to two of them and no joy. Oh well, someday maybe.

This isn't a bad place to be stuck at. If something happens where the industry stagnates again...i.e world crisis, age 67 or 70, etc.

So what the heck was going on today? Got reassigned twice and ended up in MDW on the 200. Good wx everywhere and supposedly ample reserves. All that and then the message from the chief looking for an FO for an AGS layover. And in a month with low TLV's. Was there a sickout and I didn't get the memo?

There were zero CR7 reserve FOs in both bases. Today Is shaping up to be another disaster, no reserves already in DTW, and ATL looks bad too.

The difference is that ASA & XJT are negotiating a merger contract in which the 2 sides simply can't agree on which direction is better for a joint contract (PBS, vacation bidding, etc). Additionally, the PBS dispute pretty much guarantees significantly different scheduling sections, with ramifications throughout the contract. 2 books might be the only way to get a deal, but is highly undesirable. I predict that if a TA is reached with unequal pay for either one side or new-hires it will fail badly once again.
