What's the Latest at ASA/Expressjet?
Hopefully XJT gets a TA soon.
Anyways I'm having trouble posting a new topic on here-might be my phone who knows anyways..
There has been a rumor that delta posted some crj900 pay rates on this site within the past week or so...first year fo is 70 and first year Capt 128. Surprised no one is talking about this. My buddy over at Mesa said his entire company is talking about this. Again, surprised no one has brought this up unless it's been posted longer than people realize

- You bid vacation low, so the window bottom is 65, with 75 TLV. It will still try to build you into that window. No change.
- If you cannot build a line up to those hours, then you can have it award you a hybrid line with a few reserve days.
- Or, you can have it award a straight reserve line.

It didn't come out "so quick". They have been working on this since sometime in early to mid summer. So 5 months or so.
The contract extension may provide some much needed stability to gain flying. Puts Union and co at ease for another year. Also, allows us to inform mainline that our labor disputes are settled for a while. I've had quite the concerns for hope of more flying or replacement flying. I believe this is something worth while. Much better than contract 2014 TA.
View it how you may, but improvements almost all across the board. I know it sucks for the new upgrades that they may be right seat some, but it's all at captain pay. Otherwise, they most likely won't see upgrade for a vey long time

+1 agreed to this. It has been in the works for a while. They finally found some common ground and agreed on something. I view it as we do gain quite a bit voting this in. The company benefits because they have captains trained and the training pipeline isn't full of upgrades when/if we get some flying.

"Point is, listen to what the reps say, educate yourself on the language, and make an educated decision, rather then saying it's just a turd."
The same reps in the crew lounge trying to sell this turd are mostly the same reps who tried to sell a failed T/A 2 years ago.
Does anybody really think after deliberately building up the captain staffing, (and ASA is overstaffed on capts. presently), that they would turn around and displace said capts.? Then they never should have built up the captain staffing if there wasn't addition; flying coming.
One additional year to get "stability"? LOL
The sky is falling innuendo coming from an MEC run by full timers who hardly ever fly the line and make 6 hours per day.

I don't see it that way. Vacation low will still be an option. Lets say the window is set at 75-105, with a 85 TLV. I'll lay out the few scenarios here:
- You bid vacation low, so the window bottom is 65, with 75 TLV. It will still try to build you into that window. No change.
- If you cannot build a line up to those hours, then you can have it award you a hybrid line with a few reserve days.
- Or, you can have it award a straight reserve line.
First, "vacation low" bidders are prohibited from holding a hybrid line.
Second, the few remaining trips that may have gone to a junior vacation low bidder, will go to a more senior hybrid line-awardee.
You may say that this respects seniority, and it does in a way, but vacation low gives a pilot a few months of reprieve from a full year of reserve hell.

What section are you looking at? Is it the add pay section?

I missed the section on where it says you cannot big vacation low with a hybrid line. That was my fault as I've been on a trip the last 3 days since the e-mail came out, and only had a chance to review it on my phone and not a computer. Never had a chance on a computer with about 10 schedule changes.

As for the QOL, I see the company adding reserve days to anyone whose schedule is awarded below 75 hours. In other words, if your schedule would have awarded you 68 hours, then today you get paid for 75 with extra time off. In the future you will get awarded 68 plus 2 days of reserve.
