To save money, you will need to chisel the laws in yourself.

LuggageWorks Soft Flight Kit - Flight Kits - Luggage - Products

I'm done with the big flight case. This new option holds everything we carry, is waaaay lighter and easier to carry around and sling into the airplane. If we go paperless, it makes a great bag to carry the ipad and a bunch of other junk like headset, sunglasses, etc.

It does not hold up as well with all of the weight we currently carry with Jepps, FOM, OM. I have one. It's a little over a year old. Got it for the same reason. If you are going to get one, wait until we have been given the EFB. Not a great solution otherwise.

I've been using it, I like it a lot. As for holding up, we'll see I guess.

What's up with doing 700/900 training, then being forced to finish your schedule on the 200. Are we partial dual qual now? Contract says:

C. Dual Qualification

The following examples will be considered separate single aircraft types:
a. CR7andCR9
b. CR2
c. AT7
A pilot (excluding instructor pilots, supervisory pilots, management pilots and administrative pilots) will only be required to maintain qualification on one (1) aircraft type as described above.

Loophole that your ALPA reps elected not to fight to close.

You only have to finish what you were awarded. You shouldn't get any more 200 flying after you are done with training if I understand it correctly.
