Most all say they want to go somewhere, very few have updated their logbooks this year though. They may pay the airline apps fee, but fat chance for a call if your profile hasn't been updated in three years. I have long since given up trying to get others to leave, mrfmtd.

The tide does seem to be turning though. Good luck...to me.

If you had to choose between ExpressJet and Republic what would it be? If base wasn't an issue. Seems like there's quite a bit of negativity in this head but is it to the extent of the RAH negativity?

ExpressJet. Everybody has issues. RAH has more of them.

What's hard about it? Waking up in the morning and coming to work?

Other then that I don't see your point! Your prob one of theses guys that sweets the small stuff, half hour wasted looking at paperwork and briefing the crew on their job. Here's a news flash, they know their job so does the dispatcher and so does ATC. What's left for you to do? Don't hit anything. So there you have it aviation 101. Oh yeah land if your fuel gets low.

I agree, but most of the 15+ I've talked to here don't believe the regional model is dead, and think this place has a bright future. Seriously.

XJT has issues, but at least we make bank. Average CAs make 80-90K average FO 35-45K. RAH's contract sucks. No block or better pay, no cancellation pay, no soft time. But the DO get to fly REAL airplanes WITH ENGINES UNDER THE WINGS! Priorities I guess.

United and Delta will be parking 300 or so large RJs by end of 2015! EXJ operates the vast majority of them, United has outsourced over half the large RJ they can put on the line before they have to add a NB fleet and Delta only has 30 more large RJs to be awarded. Not flaming as I work at a carrier with mainly 50 seaters but the future of EXJ isn't looking as bright as some might led you to believe. Attrition is high so that's a good thing.

I know. But most of our "lifers" seem to think the cuts won't get to them before they retire. We're talking guys in their 40s-50s with 15-25 years in. I guess they never heard of Comair. I give this place 5 years before they start displacing 10-15 year CAs to the right seat, then rapidly downhill from there.
