Depends what your goals are. If your goal is to be an regional FO for the next 5+ years and gain copious amounts of TSIC time making 45k tops for the foreseeable future by all means come to XJT. We are losing 19 CRJs this year and more to come in the next couple years. E175s will like arrive in exchange for double the amount of ERJs. The CRJ side has about 1000 Captains and I estimate 800 are lifers.

If your goal is career progression and/or logging TPIC sometime this decade RAH is the better option. Over 50+ Q400s and E175s worth of growth still on the way. Contract may be worse but within 5 years you'll be a Captain making a way more than 45k. Worse work rules also means 80% of Captains aren't staying.

If you're really ambitious about career progression Compass & Mesa will have lighting fast upgrades for those hired in the next several months. Good luck!

Long upgrade at RAH too. 2 buddies are FOs at 6 years+... One on the 170 and the other on the 145

Thats got to be by choice. Must have passed up Q400 upgrade waiting for the 170. With 50+ planes on the way, that upgrade time will drop rapidly.

If they can actually keep them flying and staff them! Major MX issues.

I think the junior Q400 captain is only about one month junior to the jets

Junior Captain is just under 6 years seniority and dropping. Another vacancy bid at RAH just came out. Gaining 4-6 planes every month.

Meanwhile at XJT, at 6 years seniority upgrade is nowhere in sight. Attrition is the only hope of movement for the foreseeable future.

Hey, HEY! 777 Forever is the resident authority, and if he said it, its TRUE! Doesn't matter that he doesn't work at RAH, and several who do have contradicted him. Also doesn't matter that he's totally wrong about 90% of his prognostications on his own company too.

I got a good laugh that he thinks 80% of our Captains are "lifers". I'd put that number closer to 40%. But what's being off by half anyhow?

Contradicted over what? Junior Captain at RAH is under 6 years seniority. It's a Fact. There is no ifs, ands, buts, he works there, he doesn't work there about it.

As far as prognostications you're just as off as I am. I will admit your rote memorization of the contract is impressive.

from my experience at least 80% of the capts I fly with on the 200 say they will not leave for a major.
