No, I don't believe so. Even Comair had a higher rate when XJT ratified their current contract. And the reason being is because the XJT CEO didn't want to be the next airline to set the bar in 50 seat wages. So they came up with the B fund idea. Also, add pay during vacation helps both sides. So that's a wash.

I am not jealous of delta pilots. I am happy they are reaping the rewards of sound management. At least DL is talking steps to shed RJ flying. Rumor is we are in the process of doing the same. Do hope we can achieve a modicum of their success.

...United pilot criticizing OAL's on time performance... clueless.

In the meantime what is your plan B? Where are you going when Expressjet rolls over? I've been at UA over 25 years. I've seen plenty express carriers go TU. You might be the next.

Have a good weekend.

Ha ha, yeah ok Pops. Just keep talking.

25 years at UAL eh? I'd figured you were an 85 hire.

As for my plan B... you should try thinking outside the box sometime. Someone will always need hub feed. Maybe even Emirates, Ethiad, or Norwegian Air Shuttle. I'm pretty sure my job is secure for as long as I want it. Not so sure about yours. Better quick respond to today's desperate call to action from Lee.

Have a great week!

Ah yes, the old "dressing down" by the mainline pilot who clearly knows everything and cannot wait to tell RJ pilots how inferior we are and express his hope that our entire airline fails. You're a disgrace to our profession and I'm amazed that people like you in a position that you're in would rather rudely lecture somebody else than lend a hand to most RJ pilots who are doing whatever it takes to get to the next level. Keep up the better than thou attitude, it will get you far in life.

Apologies that this was never addressed justintime. Depends on the base. In ATL on the CRJ, pilots with late 2012 hire dates are just beginning to get off reserve, early 2013 hires are snagging the very last lines as of the July awards. Those are vague numbers as those pilots could have been holding a line since early 2014, but those numbers are close enough in my opinion. IAD and DFW are the most junior bases, followed closely by DTW with of course ATL being the most senior.

One thing we can all count on is that there are a whole lot of regional pilots who have proven that they are willing and able to fly for low wages and poor contracts. These pilots will gladly fly 767s, etc. for HALF of what mainline is currently paying. So yeah, I'll second the above statement, you guys at the mainline might want to get on board with supporting the regional pilots before the bottom feeders turn on you.

Do everyone a favor and retire. Everyone is tired of you not being able to park in the pad or taxi.

You clearly know how it is to work for UAX. You really think all UAX is delayed because their pilots suck? It couldn't be because rampers devote all their attention to mainline flights leaving one or two guys to unload all the bags. It definitely isn't because gate agents have to work three gates at once and delay boarding on one flight to finish the boarding of another. Fuel savings is a disaster but not because less than half of the GPUs or AC units work at UAX gates. You're right. I hope you appreciate your luck in this business being able to make several hundred thousand dollars while guys work two-three times harder than you make pennies on the dollar. Do us all a favor and take scope back. No, you won't do that because you have to pay for your third house and 1st and 2nd wife.

If Emirates, Etihad or Qatar wants feed, it should be done close to what they are paying their regular pilots. I really hope that people don't take the bait and continue to work for the decreasing pay and work rules.
