FedEx Has a TA
#31
FedEx has pilots hired into every seat (at least they did when they were hiring), so a junior pilot could stay a widebody FO or make a little more flying the left seat of the narrow-body. Or, stay senior on the junior airplane. I saw dudes that were below 50% seniority in the right seat still on probation.
I was activated in the left seat at 26 months on property. Until I could hold widebody captain at around 4-5 years, I made more money than I would have if I had stayed a widebody FO.

I guess I'm not following. What options?

No details have been released yet a few brown stain turds decide to come and try to chime in. Jealousy? Are you frustrated you will be under your current contract for the next five years while FedEx pilots exceed your retirement substantially and pay rates? Are you saying every airline that has a 757 pay rate that is lower than wide-body aircraft is a “B scale“. GTFO.
yeah right, I hope so, because you are way behind us on pay and retirement, raise the bar for all of us.

Our retirements are basically a wash right now, with ours most likely set to improve a good bit. Our QOL items in IMHO are better than yours and our vacation is the best in the industry. Yep, you have higher pay rates currently. We will surpass them.
We all do the same job, so instead of being a wanker, why not be sincere and hope we get an incredible contract. You know, rising tide etc etc etc.

.Am I incorrect that your current Flat dollar amount is $4200 and a max of 30 years? Maybe I misunderstand it but that is a maximum of $126k. We currently exceed that at 25 years. Your B fund is 3% higher. I assume you don’t understand our vacation section. However as you stated, there’s room to catch up, I have no inside information but based on our stated goals I expect we will do very well with this TA.
