Say it again so 80% of our pilots (INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS) can hear it in the back. The time for applied pressure was 18 months ago. When 80% of pilots acted like greedy independent contractors.
Its that same independent contractor group who can’t figure out why the company wont budge for years at a time during negotiations. Duhhhhh

The Delta pilots tried a no overtime campaign during a contract once. It didn’t go well for them and a injunction is I still believe in place 20 plus years later.

Yes I do. feels great to know you used one of your 20 posts to ask about my feelings.
To those saying 18 months ago was the time to make a stand, you're completely wrong the leverage is we don't have to do this at all. MEC hears us loud enough we reject this trash and we continue down the road to self help. Time for our leadership to step up. The pilot shortage isn't gonna get any better. This is a once in a generation problem. We don't have to accept this. Bring on the PEB. Knuckle up folks.
Without struggle there can be no progress.

This is exactly the point. It doesn’t matter what “this“ is to some of these constant complainers. They will simply make up a narrative prior to any real information coming out. The earlier they can spread FUD the better. No need for real information. JetFlyers is just as embarrassing with these same posters. Even after the Negotiating Committee explained the process they continue to make up a narrative. We wonder why we aren’t treated professionally. Many in our group don’t deserve it.
One 777 Captain just posted on JF that Delta PBS is designed to maximize days worked and minimize pay. He couldn’t be more wrong and has no idea how PBS works.

What a ridiculous post. You will no doubt make excuses when we are shown the concessions and industry lagging pay rates. The same 5 guys on JF that make constant excuses and don’t have an understanding of peer contracts.

I am not a proponent of PBS but knowing how it works is fairly important for multiple reasons, one is that a not insignificant number of our pilots use PBS to have their schedules awarded each month, just before the following bid period begins.

I’ve stayed in contact with my rep. I know the TA contains work rule/QOL concessions (which the MEC/NC will call choices), the pay rates TA’d are not what our pilots will consider industry leading, and the retirement TA’d will greatly benefit those with 25+ YOS and will not even be industry average for many.

On a side note, I do think the fact that we've waited a week now would indicate that the MEC does plan on passing it on to us.

I thought the rumor was the MEC isn’t even meeting until the 9th?

The MEC did see each section prior to the TA. When I spoke with my rep the week prior to the TA being announced, he said he had seen each of the TA'd sections. He also said we would not have industry leading payrates and many would not benefit from the retirement plan improvements. No B-fund additions, either.
