once again, younger pilots are glued to their phones/their 200 pilot buddies at other companies and we are very very informed about every big flying company. We have friends everywhere and we keep tabs on everyone. Social media is a powerful weapon if used correctly.

I’d love to know how you choose to keep up with the industry…how do you keep up with Americans reserve rules or green slip abundance, or deltas current hiring plans/outlook or United’s vacation and snap up clauses, or UPSs NC emails they send out to their crew force…

How do you stay informed Max??

I work for FedEx bro. And if you had any current information about the industry you’d be insulted and angry like the rest of us. But you don’t know specifics of other contracts and you definitely don’t stay engaged with the minutia. Why should you right? All that’s left is retirement.

Yep definitely better to keep your head down and not see how other carriers have it, or even try to pattern bargain. “It’s the way it’s always been” “FedEx is different”.

Everyone, back to your sleep rooms for your 69 minute nap before your night hub turn to SHV for less pay than day pax flying.
