Are you genuinely interested in flying hub turns for the next 15-20 years? Upgrading in over a decade? Do you really desire the health defects of flying back side of the clock? Doing 14 day trips on the tool box with ever-degrading trip quality followed by 2-4 day involuntary extensions causing you to miss important dates?

If your friends are 2015 or earlier hires, you need to seek input from the junior folks. For your own good.

All of the new hires will, in fact, be placed into a defined benefit plan if this TA passes.

DO NOT come here unless it’s all you got.

Take a FDX offer if you get one but continue your job search full speed ahead. The FDX training will help ensure that things go smoothly when you get the offer you really want.

Some of the uniform items will be useful at the new job and your time here will erase all doubt about your choices later.

They will be placed into a defined contribution and a MBCBP (something similar to a defined contribution but worse). There will be no defined benefit retirement plan similar to what pre-C2026 pilots have ($340,000 times years of service up to 25 year times 0.02). That is gone.

Actually that isn’t here yet and nothing is gone. Under our current TA, the Cap on FAE is $260k. It’s not gone until (and If) the TA passes. Then the number is $340k…. and that is not available for new hires.

There is no Contract 2026. We only have a TA. Our current contact is 2015. Find enough of your buddies to vote down a 39.76% pay raise and the other improvements for the sake of a new hire you are advising to not apply here…..or in other cases leave as soon as they can….

Remember….you can’t lose what you never had!

Very good point. It's not a deal yet.

I’ve been here over 20 years and this would be my advice to anyone coming here now too.

If you’re at a bad/gone/mediocre LCC or regional, and FDX calls first, take the job. If you’re sick of being in the military, take the job here too.

But keep updating your UAL DAL AMR and even SWA (we have a few guys who’ve left here for SWA too).
