Try 2000 vintage reserve rules. Reserve prior was 24 hours a day and you got released for 24 hours on your 7th day. You could be flying a 1960’s designed 737 with shiny lipstick on it.

That reserve would likely be illegal now per various FAA interpretations, notably the Whitlow Letter. The Fedex pilot group should aspire to work rules that wouldn't be mistaken for something from a third tier regional in 1999 or the FARs being the CBA. That's not standard in the Legacies. Of course I could be wrong.

And there isn't a 737 running outside of Canada or Kalitta Charters that would compare with the Bus. They are old and not getting upgraded.

I’m anticipating the CFI to MD11 pipeline program any day now. When I was hired you had to be a top gun to be “hand selected” to wear the MD badge of honor. Now, the engines fly off during takeoff roll. Best of luck everyone

Of course they will. No one will ever be placed into the defined benefit retirement plan.
