FDX-Fruitful Week?

I think you're right. I've been telling everyone I've talked to about PBS for years that it was just a distraction. Not to say that they (mgt) wouldn't loved it here; read total control of your life. BUT if they really wanted us to sign off on it, they would've made VTOs the best thing we've ever seen and maybe, just maybe, actually had a software program in mind!

I called my block rep yesterday to ask him what was going on.
Had to leave a message.
Call has not been returned.
I told him he should return my call, or the union should let us know what was going on.
I thought we were supposed to stay engaged?

Are you not on their email list or textcaster? Two communications on Thursday

I think that was his point...TWO emails Thursday, one signed like the Declaration of Indepenence, both of which had a informative, threatening tone....directed more to management than us...and yet, NOTHING the day after leading into the weekend?
I had to operate Friday AM, and those emails were distracting and were on my mind the whole flight...
Like a massage with no happy ending....

Don't mistake silence for inactivity.
As soon as something happens--or doesn't happen--you can bet the ALPA leadership will huddle and decide what should be said, and how and when it should be said. Coming to that consensus/agreement takes appreciable time, as does the "chop chain" after than: getting legal to sign off, etc.
The MEC currently has just a few irons in the fire, and I am sure your rep will return your call when he is able. Fly safely, and stay focused. Do not say or do anything stupid, or get yourself held hostage. Peace out.

It seems like they say that EVERY month? Maybe the update is for the Mediator's benefit so that it looks like we're trying out best to get a mutual agreement?

It seems to me we are in the stage where the guys who go to the meeting are not the guys that make the decision. Give them a chance to go back and fourth. Another couple of weeks and we will know whether Fred wants a deal or is stringing us along. I can wait.
