if Lift can still guarantee the FO position at ATP mins, it might be worth it. Might be only way to actually get onboard an airline with low hours in the next couple of years.

Equipment, consistency, and availability for me. The only mom-and-pop nearby me that is actually cheaper than ATP (seriously!) is flying well-maintained but tired planes with minimal modern avionics. I had 5 different instructors with 6 completely different ideas on what the curriculum should be. That school only allows scheduling 2 weeks out and no more than 2 scheduled lessons a week, and there's exactly ONE instructor for CFI candidates. While that instructor has great experience and I wish I could sit in a room and just talk to them for hours on end, the reality is that instructor is on their 12th hour by the time they get to CFI instruction (they only do it after 5pm). The odds of them nodding off during your practice instruction is near 100%.

In reality, I'm paying extra for availability and equipment.

Exactly my experience at mom and pops. Places like ATP want you to progress through the program to make room for the next guys.

Mom and Pops want you to remain there cause they don't have the certainty of having other students come in like flight academies do.

I can understand the instructional part but equipment, meh. Equipment needs to only come into play when working on commercial and multi to be honest. Take from folks who have gone through the ranks, don’t waste your money on the programs of lift and ATP unless you have money to burn. There are definitely better options out there unless you are stuck in podunk town with only one podunk airport and one podunk flight school.

Probably because nobody knows yet. I would expect competitive mins to go up across the board.

How is training quality at Spartan?
What about Quincy and Parkland colleges in Illinois.

Seems like lending has been halted at Salli Mae and Wells Fargo. I have 780s credit. They still want a co-signer.

it looks like the Lift academy website has been updated, instead of guaranteeing a FO position at REpublic, they are now offering preferred pathway, which makes the school, just another school, which is a shame because they had a nice fleet of diamonds. I think they even have the AC option.

For those looking for some stability, it might be better to stick out your desk job and CFI over weekends. It might take you 5 years, but at least you’ll be a little better off for the time being.
