If you have time in one of our types, you will probably go into that plane. Other than that, it's as needed.

That's my experience too. All of the guys in my class went to the aircraft they had time in. If you don't have anytime in any of the aircraft we have then they just put people in where they need them. Usually the X. I went into the Hawker because I have time and typed in it. I have the pleasure of delivering one tomorrow to KLIT.

Is there a good list of domicile airports? Do you have to live within a certain distance of it? Can you change it? If so, how frequently?
What is a typical month like? I realize it's charter and there is probably not a 'typical' month, but anyone care to comment on semi-typical?

If you live in the middle of nowhere, like middle of SD or Hawaii, you will have to do a double rotation (15-13). You can also change domicile as many times as you want.
Typical month is about 65 hours give or take... He that helps.
You still have to have an internal rec to get an interview. Very few have gotten a shot without a rec...

You can pretty much live where ever you want, as long as there is an airport with airline service within 100 miles.

Of that 65 hours, is it in blocks or broken up into little pieces - in other words, how easy or difficult is it to plan your life away from work?
No internal rec for me though...

There are two schedules: 8 days on 6 days off, or 15 days on 13 days off. Your off time is your own, and you may plan your life any way you like. Rotations are bid for a year in advance, so you'll see exactly what days you are working and those you have off. You'll usually be away from home for you entire "on" rotation.

I like those two options a lot, but do I understand correctly that you bid one of those two schedules and you're stuck in it for a year?
Also, can you change domiciles or gateway airport at whim?
Thanks!!

As for changing domiciles, I'd say yes you can change it at a whim but I wouldn't abuse that and be the one to have a policy written in your behalf. If want to end your rotation somewhere else, or start your rotation from a different city, they'll usually work with you as long as the difference in airfare is reasonable. I've ended my rotation in Las Vegas, opted to hang out for a few days, made my way to San Diego with family, and then the company flew me home from there 4 days later.

Thank you for the responses, gentlemen. Next questions, what are the TT/experience requirements for upgrade? I know the company is Wyvern compliant. Does XOJET follow Wyvern PIC reqs? Are upgrades made as needed or based on pilot performance? I would think from a crew scheduling standpoint that having more CAs would create greater flexibility in crew pairings. Are CAs occasionaly paired together?
I have no time in any of the types but have some experience with ProLine21. Fortunately, I have a good internal rec. I'm hoping the phone rings sometime soon.

If you have an internal rec, consider yourself fortunate! Good luck!
