How soon will we start seeing XOJet Hawkers on the ramp? Before Thanksgiving for the big travel rush?

Any pictures out there yet of the Hawkers in the XOJet paint scheme?

Should be mid November.
This is just a mockup, but you get the idea.

Can someone comment regarding release of duty to travel home and for that matter coming on duty. I work for a medical transport company and was recently not released to fly home because of a "possible" trip. What is XOJet policy regarding travel days for your scheduled time off?

Xojet's Crew Resources Department does its best to ensure that pilots are able to rotate home on their respective ending days. Overlapping schedules allow for this to occur the majority of the time. On occassion, pilots may be asked to extend, but, it is their choice unles airline service is not available. It is rare when it occurs. However, when it does, regular OT policy applies.

With the current hiring going on what kind of experience/background is coming through the door? I'm sure it is mixed but is there any common denominator?

The biggest common denominator is having an internal rec. That's for sure. I was part of the largest class in XO history (23-24 people) and in that group we had some people on the low time side with no jet time (but TP time), all the way up to people with numerous type ratings and thousands of hours of jet time. We had people who weren't current as well. It's 100% who you know here. That's why there is such a wide variety of people. I know there are a few guys on this thread that didn't know anyone and got hired so YMMV.

I just updated my information again, been on file since 09/07. Maybe when things pick up we will get a call. I read that they have over 8,000 applications on file.

600 hours on the CL30, and no call here. Sounds like the internal rec is the ticket.

The whole system is really complicated and would take 3 pages to explain...

We are only operating 1 605 in the ME and the other 2 are being sold. Actually think 1 of them is already sold... The ME partners said they wanted 3, then said they only wanted 1... They were never going to fly in the US.

XOJET is going to double in size in the next 24 months! A true 3rd fleet type is going to be annouced sometime soon. They are hiring and upgrading a lot right now! They have even called pilots with no recs from what I hear... Just bought another X and have at least 4 more 300's coming this year.

Things are happening at XOJET... Just no one is posting them.
That is really good to hear. I have had my app in for over a year now, have been fully updating it, but still have no call or any other information other than "on file". I know I havn't read the full thread yet, but I have been researching constantly about XO. It's hard to find anyone that posts ANYTHING about it. Without the oppertunity of looking at my resume or application, any ideas as to why I havn't received anything? I do not have a letter of rec, could that be the majority of the problem?

Keep posting, I love reading about XO, I just hope I get the oppertunity here soon.
