Personally, I'm optimistic. We're still making money, have money in the bank, and are supposed to be adding more (older) X's to the fleet. For what it's worth, I have met very few pilots that are worried about the whole thing.

My wife loves my set schedule for the whole year, makes planning things very easy. Every other weekend off on 8/6 schedule. You get $80 allowance use or lose everyday so you can afford to eat at good restaurants. Us pilots here do not skimp out on the meals. They also feed you very well during indoc everyday for lunch, so take your $80 and go out everynight and treat yourself to good meals.

It's an adjustemnt, no doubt. Especially if you're used to being home every night or 3/4 days trips. However most families adjust, as most do in aviation, and come to like the fixed schedule and predictability of it. Def a conversation worth having with the family but I don't think there have been many who came and left bc of it.

A couple jobs ago PD was $40 a day so $80 should work out just fine. Also sounds like the benefits are good and affordable. I know several ppl have mentioned the 401k match being low. Like any company, there’s always room for improvement.

And $80/day isn't a hard number either. What I've always been told. Not a limit but also not a goal...if that makes sense?

True. Most of the time you spend less than $80/ day and occasionally you will go over with a big party at a nice steakhouse.

8-6 schedule:

Does this mean max days off in a given month is 12-13 days?

For example 12 days off in February as its only 28 days long and perhaps 13 days off in months with 31 days?

Thanks

Pretty much. It means every Tuesday you’re going to work or leaving work if you do a Tuesday rotation or every Wednessay if you do a Wednesday rotation.

I don't post much on APC, but am currently researching XoJet as a place to work. I'm currently flying for a regional. I was wondering if someone who currently works here could PM me so I could ask a few questions.

Thanks!

Same as above poster. Seems like a very nice place to work. The commute is beginning to burn me out. Feel free to PM me.
