I've noticed a lot of you applying and being offered the job have a plethora of experience and thousands on thousands of hours of flight experience. Does a guy with under 2k, an ATP and a type rating have a chance at all? I sent my application in a few weeks ago, and thinking I should contact someone with some time updates, in hopes this might get me on their massive radar of applicants

I got hired around 2K TT. Right under the 2 year mark with a regional (R-ATP through the regional). EMB145 type rating. The group I interviewed with had substantially more experience (around 4-5K TT, some around 15,000+ TT). I did end up getting the job offer though. I hope this helps and will encourage you to keep updating. Take Care.

I’m not really sure what the best route would be or if there’s even a preferred route. I can only speak from the regional side of things since I don’t know much about JSX, Contour, or Airshare. The pay, work rules, and QOL at most of the regionals are substantially better than what it used to be so it’s not a bad option. Just a lot of factors go into deciding which regional would personally fit you the best (region of where you live, etc). Ive only been in the industry for a few years so maybe someone whose been with XO for a while can give you that answer/advice. I came across/became interested in XO after already a year in at the regionals so I didn’t make my regional decision based off of XO. Sorry I couldn’t be more help. Best of luck and hope you get the opportunity to work for XO in the future.

Go to a company that will pay for your ATP. I do not believe AirShare pays for the ATP.
