Do your King Air pilots fly both the 90 and 350? What about the Jets, do you stick with one type? Being gone 12 - 14 days sounds good to me. I have been in Ethiopia for the last 6 weeks.

Richland,

That depends on how you count work. Flight duty days have settled down a bit into the 18-20 day range. But yeah, you'll be at home with your phone on some the other days. That being said short notice callouts are not what I would call regular though they do happen sometimes

As to your comments about the Cheif Pilot......Mr AF was in recurrent when I got my type on the Phenom 300....he was a great guy.
Thanks
RI830,

Every 12 day rotation can vary widely based on need and aircraft. My experience is that you can expect to work 7-9 days out of those 12 and then you 3 days off. It can and has happened that pilots have been gone 10 days in a row or so. I've had it happen to me twice, but I've also been here awhile now. But I've also had months where I was only out 6 nights total and the rest were out and back day trips. The variety, to me, is what keeps things interesting. So yeah 2011 we got worked pretty hard but things are getting better. The company hires really good pilots and good people.

I met a couple of BE-40 pilots at an one of the out airports, they seemed content. Does one start on the BE-300 as an F/O, and how well does the "salary commensurate with experience" apply?

I just finished the interview with EAS. Great experience! All the people were fantastic to talk with. They were straight forward with the questions and wanted us to be relaxed and interview them as much as they were interviewing us.
26 question test
HR interview
2 on you pilot interview.

No technical questions..just your background, why you want to leave your job for EAS, a few other random?'s.

Worst short notice call I had was around 3:30pm one day. "Drop what you're doing, pack a bag (and we don't know when you're coming home), get a rental car and drive to XXXX for a trip in the morning, and you have to be there by 10pm to duty off." No big deal except that it was a 5 hour drive on a good day... that day there was a Winter storm across the Midwest with FZRA along most of the drive. Ugh.

RI380, congrats on the interview. If you get the offer and take the job you'll like the pilots there. The new DO (prior CP) is a good guy as well.

Yes - congrats on the interview RI.
You mentioned a 26 question test, but said that the interview was all HR type questions. Was the test the standard type of questions - ATP type, technical, charts, plates, regs, etc....

You're the first on here I think in quite some time that has been offered an interview. If you have in the past, I must have forgotten, but for others refresher, would you mind sharing your experience and background?

I am an 6000+ hr ATP that has done time in 121 and currently 91 Corporate. I have EMB 145, Phenom 100 and 300 type ratings.

There were three of us in the interview yesterday. There was an presentation on what the company is all the freq asked questions. We did a round robin type of interview. I started with the 26 ? test, then HR, then two on one pilot interview.

The test had some pretty tough questions but was managable.
There were some ATP type, AIM, Regs, NOS chart, VOR Service volume questions.
The FTW base mangaer sat with me and just chatted while I was waiting for the other interview sections. The HR and Pilot (Asst Cheif and Cheif Pilot) Interviews were very nice and straight forward. They ask about your background and why you want to come to EAS.....no tech stuff in HR or Pilot Interview.
The interview was a real pleasure and I hope to get an offer soon.
EAS is a growing company and has a real drive to treat their people well.
Good luck to all.

SCORE!

Good for you RI.
I'm sure those types in two of their aircraft types were helpful.
I hope you enjoy yourself if all goes well.
