I want the ability to drop to zero in our contract. That way in 2030, when we're "negotiating" our next contract, I won't have to come in and f with this s hole if I haven't managed to escape dingle berry's grips by then.

The only thing I can do to help our cause is leave. I’m pushing for that as hard as I ever was at the regionals. I’ve said it before; too many of us are hanging on here for a list of “if we get a contract” or “if we take delivery of aircraft”. It’s foolish to stake your career on “ifs”, especially when almost every other carrier has solid factors.
I’ve debated carefully as to whether I’d accept another position given the opportunity. There’s no question given the facts. Our pay, schedules, retirement, LTD, work rules, etc aren’t just substandard, they are an insult to every pilot on our list.
We have a mountain to climb yet to achieve a TA, and when we do I’m certain it’ll be another slap in the face. Update those resumes, attend those job fairs, ask for recs. Do whatever it takes to re-enter the status of your peers at other carriers. We all deserve better. Go get it.

Which 10 yard line?? At this point I’d say it’s our own 10 yard line... yea I’m p!ssed and frustrated and I’m getting tired of making these fools money... but if I take the emotion out of it, what evidence is out there that will lead me to believe we’ll get anything to vote on this year?? What evidence is there that we’ll have anything WORTH voting on this decade?? People keep showing up... people keep jumping on 40 hour 2 days... the worst part about it is the NMB will probably view the 50 or so out of 1200 that do these incentivized trips as the new status quo so now we’re painting ourselves into a corner and the majority of the group has zero say in it... then when the nmb doesn’t release us and people get truly p!ssed and MAYBE stop doing them, then we’ll get a tro slapped on us for not maintaining the norm... this pilot group is about as unified as this company is adept at running an airline... pretty much non existent

Are you a management troll trying to get a work action going??

Folks, follow our MEC’s guidance and do exactly what you’ve always done. Don’t change anything. Who gives a sh!t if people are picking up incentived trips. Won’t change a single thing. The ONLY thing that’ll make Indigo negotiate is when the NMB makes them. Period. Getting ****ed off at other pilots, thanks in part to management trolls, is EXACTLY what the company wants. Just chill, enjoy your life and wait for the cooling off period because you KNOW it’s coming.

Prior to contract negotiations, it was rare to see an incentives trip. If you did, it was maybe 3 or 4 hours tacked onto it. Now, we have 40 hour 2 days. So what has changed? I mean our reserve levels are pretty consistent. I see this as more of a way to divide and conquer this pilot group and not a means of covering trips.
There is absolutely nothing that is going to stop the 50 or so guys from picking up trips. Pilots are pilots....we will eat our young if we have too. The company knows this and will continue to increase incentives if the have too. I’m sure Pat Ryan is laughing his ass off every day.
What we can do is force the company to follow the CBA. Revoke LOA 65, it’s with our right to do so. Force the company to follow the VJA/JA process to assign trips. Allowing guys to call in and pick it up at straight time is not working for us. Make Scheduling follow the CBA!
