I don’t believe this AIP offer tabled has much to do with new hire pilot class sizes.....many have thought for a while that an IPO and/or merger is imminent.....Indigo needs to not only secure fresh labor contracts (all but pilots & FAs signed in the last 12 months), but they also need to “rope off” all the legal disputes (Alpa lawsuit, hundreds of Pilot grievances) in order to plot forward towards their big sale payoff.........which is WHY we “have hand” (in the words of George Costanza).......imho.........

As these big batch of aircraft start arriving, the leasing companies want to see the financials before they provide the financing for the planes.
It might have had less to do with newhire classes and more to do with securing hundreds of millions of dollars worth of aircraft

Funny. I talked with a rep and heard that PBS will be negotiated between a committee made up of both pilots and company people. I don’t think we’ll be voting on the actual PBS language.

Sounds a lot like a 50/50 review board. Perpetual deadlock. Maybe that's why we have the arbitration wording in the bullet points .

I know of two people now, both of whom are "wait and see" people, who have had posts deleted and been banned from this forum for calling someone else an idiot. Now you call someone a "****ing idiot", another calling another a douche and mods here don't care. Agenda much?
No, no agenda, zero agenda, NADA. Exactly what agenda do you think the Non Frontier Pilot Moderators have?
First off all I would be willing to bet most MODs have no dog in this hunt. I for one have no idea who the "Wait and see People" are but I assume there must be a protagonist group to counter these "wait and see people" Who are they? The "hurry up and don't look" tribe?
In the words of a great Indian Chief from Long ago "We Moderators are few - the posters are many." In other words, not only are we not emotionally invested in your thread we probably have not even read it.
The solution to this is simple - if you come across a post that violates the terms of service please report it. We will then address it. If no one reports it a MOD may never see it.

From what I’ve been told they didn’t “cave”. They pushed the company and NMB as far as they would go. This was the 4th and best offer from the company. They tried to get all they could. I’ve also been told that the language will be rock solid, especially with PBS. Again time will tell.
This AIP/TA is not “into the pattern”. Not by a long shot. NMB or no NMB, this NC has been outgunned since Day 1. NMB asked ALPA for PBS and they gave it to them while simultaneously lowering their October increased ask on pay rates. Lowered their October ask on DC. They sold out year 2-11 guys/gals to get “yes” votes. Make no mistake, you will operate under this contract for at least 7 years from today. 7 years at the bottom while every other pilot makes more money than you. Has cheaper healthcare than you and has a much larger retirement than you. Can’t possibly see from the bullet points how anyone would consider voting yes on the agreement. It is generally accepted that implementation of any PBS software equates to 8-12% reduction in pay rates (primarily based on seniority). Our senior pilots will receive approximately $0.48 on the dollar for retro, aka ratification bonus. This should be a “no” for anyone that plans on staying at F9.

What PBS does do is increase the efficiency of the Pilot group by not allowing/reducing pre-month conflicts. This efficiency issue can be huge if you switch to PBS while guys are furloughed like some airlines have done or not even noticeable if you switch when you are hiring or undermanned.
I will say most guys who fly under PBS seem to prefer it over LOT bidding.
