Be sure of your “yes” vote with the ambiguous language and rates in your potential “new” contract. Many of the Spirit guys who voted yes are feeling buyers remorse and now think they should have held out for a better deal. Just saying............

I feel like I've been taking crazy pills with people saying that the work rules are good, it's just the pay. I'm willing to admit that there are a few things that are nice, but overall, a lot is a step down from XJT.
My only hope is that as this place wears on, and more XJT people come here, the culture will change to realize there is better out there.

Oh and I never once said pass this contract so regional guys will come over. I said if it DOES pass they will come because it is better then where they are coming from (other then apparently EXJ which is 1 of 12?).

I came because of three reasons - the pay was better, the Airbus type and the hope of even higher wages with the SAME QoL provisions in the current contract or a chance to use F9 as a stepping stone to somewhere better. Plus, XJT was dying.
The stepping stone idea has yet to come to fruition and I’m concerned that it may never - nothing I can do about that. The better wages with same QoL (which was my backup plan) seems to be in jeopardy as well. Little I can do except vote and try and convince others.
I wouldn’t be on APC screaming no if the contract was as least decent. I now feel like I traded wages for work rules - and that’s not something I personally wanted to do.
