I feel like I've been taking crazy pills with people saying that the work rules are good, it's just the pay. I'm willing to admit that there are a few things that are nice, but overall, a lot is a step down from XJT.

My only hope is that as this place wears on, and more XJT people come here, the culture will change to realize there is better out there.

Or, the ones who believe this place lacks, get to leave.

Be sure of your “yes” vote with the ambiguous language and rates in your potential “new” contract. Many of the Spirit guys who voted yes are feeling buyers remorse and now think they should have held out for a better deal. Just saying............

Then why did you leave? You are saying that with the exception of a few thing that ExpressJet, a Regional Airline, was better then what you came to F9 for? It’s an honest question really.

Oh and I never once said pass this contract so regional guys will come over. I said if it DOES pass they will come because it is better then where they are coming from (other then apparently EXJ which is 1 of 12?).

So you are saying that we need XJT guys to change OUR culture? Seriously!
Tell me what is wrong with OUR culture? Please enlighten me?

Self obsessed CAs
Denver vs the rest of the bases outlook
Fear & despair vibe throughout
Mgt (vac canx, proby firings, disc hearings galore)
Predatory base mgt practices
Financial punishment of new hires
Union reluctance to intercede on behalf of dues paying pilots (fapa hangover)
Rampant harassment of whistleblowers
Even more pervasive sexual harassment
Abuse of work rules by scheduling/mgt
Selective enforcement of FOM/FAM by mgt (see harassment above)

I wouldn’t object if any/some/all of these would change.......but that’s just me....

That is correct. We do, however, ban people who repeatedly engage in personal attacks and name-calling. If several people do it, we simply close the thread.

For all you you wanting to come to F9 Prettywhacked1 has it nailed to the "T"! I totally trust and value his oversight of our pilot group!

1) Every CA is self obsessed! We have 0 cool CA'S!
Do not come here!

Only hiring of XJT pilots will solve all these problems! They will change the culture!

Yes, a very honest one.

I came because of three reasons - the pay was better, the Airbus type and the hope of even higher wages with the SAME QoL provisions in the current contract or a chance to use F9 as a stepping stone to somewhere better. Plus, XJT was dying.

The stepping stone idea has yet to come to fruition and I’m concerned that it may never - nothing I can do about that. The better wages with same QoL (which was my backup plan) seems to be in jeopardy as well. Little I can do except vote and try and convince others.

I wouldn’t be on APC screaming no if the contract was as least decent. I now feel like I traded wages for work rules - and that’s not something I personally wanted to do.
