Oh snap! Why didn't our NC pull the Sully card with the NMB? Rookies... This is why we need F9pilot15 on our NC, he is clearly someone who understands how the negotiating process works and can get us the Sully-rate contract we deserve!

Once again.....

The TA is upon US! It’s out of the NCs hands. They tried their best. Now is our turn for each of us to read the TA in its entirety and contemplate life under it for the next 5-8 years. We should all consider what other airline pilots are receiving, how our schedules will be changed, how much more money we’ll be making, what are the costs associated with using LTD, health care, dental, etc and decide if it worth it to vote yes.

Quite honestly, if every pilot does that, then I’m good. Despite yes or no voting, if there are 50.1% of us that decide it’s worth it, then fine by me. At this juncture, I don’t think it is but I realize that the masses speak.

I haven’t read NKs TA completely, but from what I’ve heard, it’s better than ours overall. That is because I’m not some workhorse type reveling over the opportunity to increase my pay rate by $1.37 by working 90+ hours. Nor am I the one who bids and receives an overnight in Vegas or Miami or even Austin and isn’t at least a little bit peaved at having my schedule changed to overnight in Philly or Des Moines or Teterboro.

If there was 1 reason and 1 reason only to vote no, it’s has to be contract duration. B9 set the bar at 4 years - I think our TA, given how substantially lower it is than most others, is bearable if we get the opportunity to increase it sooner (around the same time the other airlines are finishing up their next round).

You can keep being as sarcastic as you want, but the truth is the company has the full ability to do as you describe under our current contract with NO financial penalty. Further truth, it just doesn't happen. Our point to point route structure is not conducive to random reroutes, and it is more efficient to deadhead someone from a domicile to cover flying than reassigning someone already on a trip. The new reassignment language provides pilot protections from a very unlikely scenario.

No they don’t. There is absolutely no reason for you to answer your phone once a sequence begins.

Seriously? WTF are you? You are playing his words, while what you say is technically true it completely undermines the entire premise of his post.

Under the current contract, if you choose to not answer your phone, they can not contact you. Thus you can not be reassigned.

Under the new TA, if you choose to not answer your phone, you are obliged to call crew scheduling back.

Seriously dude, if you weren't playing these stupid games you might be able to scrounge up a little respect. But you are a sad individual.

No, no they can’t. You must be that guy that answers his phone in the hotel room.

I'm quite happy thank you... or do you mean my posts make you sad?

I don't know if I am or not, they've never called me in my room. In fact, outside of a cancellation, I have never been reassigned at this company.

See 1.b.(2)

Or use google and see definition 2 Informal.
