You can’t study for it. It is a bunch of personality questions followed by a bunch of patterns. I actually found it quite challenging, but I have a CJO, so I guess I did alright.

Cool thanks. That's what I figured wanted to be sure.

Recommend listening to 30 minutes of Kenny G and having a cup of tea. And remember you probably shouldn’t feel strongly about every question.

It's helpful to be in a good mood, happy, and outgoing when you take those personality tests.

Default Help Getting Hired

Hello,

I'm currently flying part 135 and looking to transition into 121. I have 2 class dates at other airlines but more interested in Frontier because I live in Tampa. I have about 250 Turbine at the moment and 400 multi-engine, 1600TT. Looking to get hired as an FO. I meet all ATP minimums. I've had my application in for just over 1.5 months. Can anyone offer some advice on getting my foot in the door for an interview? Resume is good, no checkride failures, etc. Unfortunately I just missed the Meet the Chiefs event this past week due to being on rotation.

Any advice is appreciated!

Sounds like you don't have an ATP. You need to have that in order to hear back. Yeah, I know you may read of anecdotal stories on here about 1 or 2 getting in without one (outside of our university or cadet programs) but if true, that would definitely be a very rare exception. The word I've heard multiple times over directly from those in charge of hiring is that you have to have an ATP to get hired off the street.

This is currently correct. Have a friend that just attended the MTC in Miami and got some good FaceTime with one of the CP’s. He has about 2500 total time, and 1000 sic in a Lear….but no ATP. A couple days after the event, he got an email from recruiting saying, “Please reach out to us when you hold your ATP.”

Does anyone know if Frontier is hiring folks under the age of 23 who currently hold an R-ATP?
I have heard of people getting hired who hold R-ATPs due to hour requirements…

If you currently hold an RATP you’re good. We have several pilots who’ve been hired under 23.
