Go ahead, say you're happy! I'm glad you are, honestly. Just don't **** block those of us who get incensed by things -such as the company =13pxactively ripping off it's customers in any way that they can dream up - by telling us we're being "negative". Have your read any articles describing how Frontier Airlines tried to move the goal posts several times to keep people's money? During Covid? Do you think they care more or less about us then our customers, or do you think they even care about anyone at all? Just money as far as I can tell. Maybe you can tune out the leaf blowers and incessantly barking dogs in this world along with your employer wiping their a$$ with our contract - but not me. I'm going to speak up and it would be nice if you didn't have a problem with that.

Aero1900, thanks for being the realist here. I think I fully agree on what you share in this forum. Coming up on third year here, not too far off for upgrade and overall content. 1/3 of our class is gone and I completely understand that. Life is what you make of it. I have an incredible QOL that I don’t think I could achieve elsewhere (I have buddies at the Legacies and know their scheds). I know our contract and keep learning how to use it to my benefit, just like the company does. This place isn’t perfect but what airline is. They’re all here to make money. If they all could go single pilot, they would in a heartbeat and not lose sleep over it. I know my place here. I’m just a cog in the wheel. I get paid to be a pilot not CEO. Does that mean I’m going to roll over and take what they throw at us? Absolutely not, I’ll happily fight for a better contract and for our fellow crew. Just wanted to say I appreciate your posts Aero1900!

Thats why I pay ALPA all the money that I do…so they can take care of all the above frustrations and I can be happy. Makes this career much more enjoyable cuz no matter what airline you work for, it’s all the same. Y’all remember Cactus Jack? Hated every second until the day he retired and then regretted he hated every second the day after he retired until he passed away. Don’t be a Cactus Jack.

There is nothing enjoyable about having friends and family ask if it is true that your company is stealing millions from it’s passengers. It’s embarrassing. And no, it’s not the same at every airline. Things have gone off the rails. It’s not about being a Cactus Jack. It’s about having a little self respect.

Minimizing the criticisms from pilots who have been here and seen with their own eyes the shortfalls that exist is exactly what BL does in RGS. Telling prospective pilots that may be coming to Frontier for a specific base that they closed CHI with no notice and warning those that think the airline is recession proof that they subjected 500 plus pilots to furlough two years ago is not the same as typical pilot b*tching. It’s calling a spade a spade. Yes the schedule flexibility is wonderful, but you can get it at spirit as well if you are looking for the ability to drop to zero and use red/green. And those that were here for the last negotiation know that the company wanted to eliminate it. Come here with eyes wide open. If you are good with all of that and it’s still the place for you, once we are in the cockpit we are in it together.

Letting ALPA do the dirty work so I can enjoy my life is being apathetic? No where did I say not to let ALPA know how you feel, or being supportive, or participating in ALPA events. I’ll be the first in line…all I’m saying is don’t waste your career being a Cactus Jack.
