G4 guy here. We are in 4.5 years into negotiations. 2 years with the NMB.
just got assigned a new mediator. We’ve had DRAMA with our union (even more than the typical teamster bs).
most believe we will be lucky to get something ratified in 2025. Good luck guys. Hang in there.

Anyone who pays any attention to Reserve or I know we are both advocating for a raise ABOVE our peers and a Strike ASAP. You Dr. Dra post enough to know better. I still laugh a CH making us out to be paupers.
There is a process. It is being followed. We are moving as fast as we can. This will not be easy. This will not be quick. Welcome to the RLA process.

Nevertheless, you put out into the world what you posted. I couldn't disagree more with both of you. I'm familiar w/ the RLA and was here last contract cycle.

Which has been clarified multiple times now after a few of you were on the jump to conclusions mat. I hope to see you again at the next picket.

We just got a new mediator also. Who did you/do you have? Did your NC give an opinion on whether they viewed it as good/bad/indifferent? We went from CP ---> JS. While it's too soon to tell, I think most of us view it as positive to be assigned a mediator with more experience despite the setback that comes from getting the new mediator up to speed on the stall tactics of our company.
Yea our management doesn't appear to be stalling as much as our union seems to be pushing the brakes on some stuff. basically, management is saying that they cannot agree to significant scheduling rules until the union gives them proposals on scope, compensation, retirement, etc.
Basically, management wants to see the whole enchilada that the union is asking for before they agree to any scheduling rules (our scheduling is broken). Union is saying no way. NC is saying that management has to agree to scheduling rules, etc. before they start talking rates and retirement.
consensus imo on the line is that mommy and daddy are fighting and it is screwing us line pilots because it is distracting us from getting a deal done sooner.

We probably had the same mediator most recently CP. He is a young guy. We started out with Eva and then something happened and CP took over (i don't know when all that happened). I am not sure who our new mediator is (union told us but not sure where the comm went). They said he's more experienced and will be way better for negotiations. IBT took a victory lap in telling us that they used their DC influence to get us a new mediator - typical teamster bs.

I’ve spoken with dozen of line pilots and the consensus is that management and union are fighting and getting in petty arguments instead of focusing on a deal.
