Does anyone know what stage of training the 4255xx numbers are in?

Quick question for those offered the job the day of the interview. Do they allow you any time to make a decision? Or do they offer class dates and place you in one the same day?

They bring you into a single room with the others they've selected and extend a conditional job offer verbally. Some weeks later, they extend a written offer of the same via email.

I just signed up here just now to answer a few Q's in the F9 thread

I very recently went through the interview process. After you get the nod, everyone was taken into a room to finalize paperwork. We were given a very small amount of time to decide between August and September class.... Basically when HR gets to your paperwork, she asks and you answer. 8/12 got the yes in ours, about half chose August and half chose September. We were told to be certain about our answer as it will be very difficult to change dates. Go into it with a game plan for different class date options.

I second all that. I would add that the class date options seem to be the first week of the next month or month after. Most people there were current 121/regional pilots. We did have 1 or 2 that did the regional thing before and had a corporate gig.

The 4255xx numbers are in second week of sims now.

In our class there were around 6 or 7 that had no 121 experience.

Any thoughts on why a big number are getting a "NO" once they've made it to the interview?

I have no clue... Ours was 8/12 which is a pretty good number. Our group had a lot of good people though. I'm guessing part of it was a few of them not being very social... Not sure on the 5/17 though
