I came here knowing the pay issues, and I accept them. That said, I'll work as hard as anybody to get them fixed over the next few years.
Wikipedia: Since 1968 there have been 39 fatal incidents involving the Tu-154, most of which were caused either by factors unrelated to the aircraft, or by its extensive use in demanding conditions.

So Arty! Don't blame the airplane.

Context matters. If I was flying one, I'd most likely be operating in sub standard regulatory and ATC AO's. Plus I'd be a commie!

Ok I guess that means we're not getting Tu-154s with slimline seats and a ferocious looking Russian Bear on the tail

Frontier made 54 million in the last 3 months with an operating profit of 21%.

Another ignorant post by Centerline. Do not try to study other guides with regard to the Airbus - we have different procedures, buttons, engines, etc. from many other Airbus operators and that will only dilute things for you. The training is more than enough to teach you what you need to know. Welcome to Frontier - great group of people here, and you'll have a lot of fun. Now, if we can just get the pay where it needs to be...

In late 2006 management announced "conditional orders" for 320s, with delivery several years out, as the only growth on the books. 321s weren't even on the RADAR. We were losing money, so future growth on bigger airplanes was difficult to square with the reality on the ground.

Management had a decent argument for paying less for smaller jets if we wanted to have higher pay for larger planes. Planes that may exist in the future - or not. Since larger equipment was pie-in-the-sky at the time, and we'd take a pay cut for flying aircraft that actually existed at the time, all of the 320 variants were included under the same pay scale.

Hindsight being 20:20 we'd have done things differently if we knew where we have ended up, but that's how the situation we have now came to be.
I don't fly the Airbus so I'm not hip on the differences, but how much difference is there between a 320 and a 330? Would that be the same rate as well?
I'm glad to see that Frontier has seemed to right the ship and figured out a way to survive and prosper as of late. It's a proud industry name from back in the 40's and the Monarch days.

"Another ignorant post".. I'll back away from that comment. We do the best we can to help individuals do well and answer any questions we can. We've helped many pilots get hired at F9. Our apology if giving a link offended someone.
I didn't mean to suggest any "offense" at you trying to help. I would venture to guess that site is well-written. I'm sure the post was done with the best of intentions. It was just a post coming from a prep company claiming to know a lot about Frontier that was simply ignorant. Not offensive, but just ignorant. I don't believe you know squat about Frontier, and claiming that you have helped "many" get hired at Frontier is a subjective term - how "many" exactly? What is the rough percentage of those you have prepped versus those who have been hired? False claims by an outfit claiming to "help" pilots really ****es me off and will continue to be the brunt of disparaging comments by me and others as long as it continues.

With you having not been around for any length of time as a company as well as the fairly short amount of time Frontier has been hiring, I don't believe you should take liberties when it comes to how qualified your outfit is when it comes to prepping folks for Frontier. The numbers simply don't add up. No offense was taken, but your ignorance of the culture, training, interviewing ("the job is yours to lose...") and daily life at Frontier is pretty overwhelming. You may excel at other interviews, but Frontier is clearly not your "bag".

Those are your words…

Was simply giving that individual a link to review Airbus basics, if he chooses to look. F9 has a great training program, I apologize then for posting that link. It wasn't any bad intention, I just thought it would help since the website has some good info in it.
