While Skybus may have used someone who had a different vision of fiscal responsibility, I would not have been the right person for the job, nothing against OSU but I am not a Buckey fan. I am sure however that every used car lot or telemarketing company would love to enlist a talent like yourself; upsale and slam the deal. The art of selling is truley a gift. It is safe to say we see things differently and I enjoy your post none the less. As the sun sets on another day how would you judge where we are today? I would judge our success or failures by an evaluation of our CBA to that of the industry, and I think you will be pleased by that standard as there is zero speculation in that! I'm signing off of this topic, but look forward to the next debate. I await all you insults. See you on the line. Rocky
Peace Rocky.

I'm sorry I went there. I'm annoyed by management's treatment of us, and, what I perceive, pilots fixating on the past without offering any solution for the present - other than throwing rocks at the people who are trying to help.

We need unity, and, within limits, the facts can be interpreted correctly but different conclusions can be drawn from the same data.

We obviously disagree on a lot of things, but I think we agree we need to get a much better deal than we live under now.

I'm sorry for the insults (I've actually sold used cars profitably - for myself, and did B2B telemarketing for two weeks in college).

Won't happen again.

Good job F9..I've said some dooshey stuff lately too. All of us are tense and a little PO'd because of how we're being treated by the company. We're all worked up and we all have strong opinions. We need to unify and support each other's ideals and thoughts vs shooting them down. We are at Everest's mid-camp and the steep stuff is certainly in front of us. No one summits alone, it's a team effort. Let's keep that in mind as we move forward.

Min 3 years best scenario
Yes, I'm a CA, w2 said 62k this past year. I'm scared about the initial paycut

I was scared to leave Mesa. But for the life of me I don't know why. It took a full year before I felt certain I had made the right decision. I think most of my angst came from giving up so much seniority, and the control I thought it provided me, but that was silly, because Junior at Frontier is worlds better than Senior at Mesa.

Once you get past 1st year pay, even with the pathetic Bus rates we have, you'll be where you are now financially. And F9 pay will go up and work-rules will improve IF YOU HELP US.

But obviously if you think you can do better, you might avoid an extra step by holding out. But if you're just ready to sit in front of your nose gear, and you don't mind a 2 year training contract, come on over, I think you'll be happy you did.

Besides the more battle hardened LAMA's we have here, the better, as far as I'm concerned.

F9Driver,
Your post of peace will no doubt drive down the tone on this thread from everyone (myself included) and was a great move on getting us focused on the task at hand. Here's to unity!
Nice flight,
Rocky

So, if I'm reading here correctly, F9 has implemented the long-threatened but heretofore unrealized training contract...?

How does that work? I think I saw $24K/2 years, yes? Is that prorated (leave after 12 months, say, and owe $12K)? How is it enforced? Has this question even been answered yet, i.e., has anyone pressed-to-test?

I don't know but I heard in the June class it was not presented on day 1 of ground school. The CP came in and handed to the class on the very last day of ground school as everyone was about go home on break. IMO a horrible way to do it, what better way to prove it was now signed under duress. You have now quit your job and have been in class for over 3 weeks and now they finally hand it to you???***!

I ran into someone from the June class who said they didn't have to sign on at all, for what it's worth.
