Based on what I'm reading here, if you were at a mainline owned regional carrier making decent money (read 60Kish) as a first year FO, looking at 3-6 months to upgrade, making the move to F9 really doesn't get you much, unless F9 happens to be the place you want to work long term?
Or am I reading it wrong?

Morale is incredibly low for everyone from flight crews to our outsourced gate agents and ground crew who are forced to do more and more with less and less resources. Employees and passengers alike are suffering due to the greed and short sightedness of our management, amid record profits.
It would be one thing IF this airline was well run but it isn't. The new NEO's deliveries we were supposed to be getting are delayed due to the MX program not being approved for them. On that note the mechanics are also trying to get a fair contract and being squeezed to the bone by management. They care nothing of good labor relations. Keep that in mind when looking at F9.

Every airline in the history of airlines has sucked bad at some point... we are firmly entrenched in our, hopefully, lowest point of sucking... I actually think with mediation being filed for already and the boundless incompetence of the locked, inaccessible southwest wingers, we might actually get released in a timely fashion... poop on me for thinking something may go our way but we probably got the best mediator we could've asked for...the only reason to come to frontier is potential... but then again JaMarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf were chocked full of potential...
Only way to the promised land is via a different (better run) airline or new management.

Given that regional first year pay is around 60K now with upgrade within 12-24 months in many cases, many LCC's are not particularly competitive unless you are considering a long term commitment with them. The exceptions right now would be SWA, JB and Allegiant.

Unreal that Allegiant is a better option tha. NKS & F9 currently. Unreal......I hope it changes for both our airlines soon

The suck will continue as long as the current management and ownership remain. Pay will get better eventually but will never be industry leading nor will the QoL conditions be top notch.

The business practices of management are alarming to say the least but they're here to make money... that's it... and they're good at it... if you could hire 2 equally qualified people to paint your house and you could pay one $20/hr or pay one $50/hr, who would you honestly choose?? They have ZERO incentive to pay us what were worth... for now...
