No they moved the October class to the Airport. You get to work the ramp during flight banks and do GS at the picnic tables when not chucking bags or doing the lav service. When you're line qualified you can work the ramp while on reserve to help pro rate the training contract. It's like a work / release program.
One of the best quotes ever!

If you are looking at F9 or any other LCC as just a stepping stone (couple of years) you may be much better off at a wholly owned regional, with a quick upgrade, better first-year pay, health and travel benefits and not to mention commuter hotels in some cases.
Which one are you thinking of for a west coaster?
And if you are young enough, don't forget the flow. In the meantime just keep applying for OTS hiring. Win-Win!

You know, DAL doesn't pay for hotels after INDOC.
The truth is Y1 here is tough and ugly. And Indigo has made it harder by delaying necessary pay increases. When you look at F9 you simply have to decide if you can outlast Indigo. If you have 30 years left, you'll probably do very well for yourself at F9. If you have 5 years left, you'd do better somewhere else. If you have the ability to come and outlast the owners (who have been very vocal about making a profit and getting out quickly) then the long-term potential makes F9 more attractive.
Alas, to each his own. Set goals, make plans, stay the course. In the economy of 2016 it won't take long to land that dream job.
