Is going to the job fair still required to get an interview with Frontier?

The pilots here are great (well, minus one, clearly) but the product is embarrassing. I was more proud of the product we presented the public when I was with delta connection. Indigo doesn't GAS about anyone here, believe me.
Spot on. Very accurate post.

Sorry it doesn't work for you (KSCessna and DeadMeat) as you two clearly have integrity and analytical skills viewing the entire picture and not falling for Big Jet syndrome. The move works for some, not for others and apparently doesn't work out for your situation. And I couldn't agree more with AncientAliens that it helps the guys at F9 when the recruiting department has to go to upper mgmt and tell them that guys are turning down what we're offering and why they're turning it down. Imagine if every single person on a given day did that and no one decided to come to F9 for the honest reasons they tell the recruiting department. Outside of collective bargaining, it's the only way to make some improvements.

Good luck finding a job you enjoy. It's still a very competitive market.

A question to KCCessnaDriver, Dead Meat, or anyone else going the recruiting process. Are they still telling you there is a two year upgrade?

F9 just released their latest upgrade class (VSA 1-2017) and the most junior pilot awarded a Capt slot is an April of 2006 hire. And that was out of 4 slots that were filled. I'm not sure what the number of people on the seniority last that have by-passed, but obviously some of those people are now taking the upgrade. Introduce a West Coast base and I would think a lot of those who by-passed would take an upgrade and the upgrade time at F9 would skyrocket. That's good info to base part of an employment decision on.

Not required, but without a job fair or a silver bullet (internal rec) you chances of getting a call plummet. No hard data available that I can provide.

By my count, it's 122.

I can assure you, a two year upgrade is not going to happen here for guys yet to be hired or whom have just been hired. I would - at least - double that.

The reason the last upgrades were so senior is bids were only for Denver captain. Future Orlando captain bids will go way junior to the 06 hire.

Even then, a lot of DEN FO's bypassed those DEN CA slots.
