Exactly guys, don't listen to trowser. He's an ignorant management cheerleader. You did the right thing. You'll make more in year 1 at a regional, with your hotel paid for, and the call to a real major will come soon enough. The pilots here are great (well, minus one, clearly) but the product is embarrassing. I was more proud of the product we presented the public when I was with delta connection. Indigo doesn't GAS about anyone here, believe me.

Actually they are showing Indigo. Way to be a jerk about it. These guys just did us a huge favor and you're belittling them. Until F9 has trouble filling classes nothing is going to change. It's sad that the regionals are now a more attractive and lucrative place to work than Frontier but that's the reality of the situation.
Good luck finding a job you enjoy. It's still a very competitive market.

A question to KCCessnaDriver, Dead Meat, or anyone else going the recruiting process. Are they still telling you there is a two year upgrade?
F9 just released their latest upgrade class (VSA 1-2017) and the most junior pilot awarded a Capt slot is an April of 2006 hire. And that was out of 4 slots that were filled. I'm not sure what the number of people on the seniority last that have by-passed, but obviously some of those people are now taking the upgrade. Introduce a West Coast base and I would think a lot of those who by-passed would take an upgrade and the upgrade time at F9 would skyrocket. That's good info to base part of an employment decision on.

I can assure you, a two year upgrade is not going to happen here for guys yet to be hired or whom have just been hired. I would - at least - double that.
