Hahaha, what is wrong with you people? You get to fly AN AIRBUS for crying out loud! Touch a button and the plane lands. Bus drivers do more than you and get paid less. Be thankful for what you got. If people knew how easy it really was, you'd make way less. What gives you the right to ask for more than that? You are worth what the labor market determines you are worth.
Have some self respect for your profession, man. While you think it is "easy," and in many respects it isn't a difficult job, you've put in thousands of hours and several years of training in order to pilot an airliner. Since you are so familiar with the labor market, I'm sure you see what other make to fly similar equipment. Most of us have families and don't live with our mothers and bum around the country visiting all of our cousins. This is a professional job, not a flying club.

What's wrong with YOU? With that attitude and the nonsense you spew in your "videos," I hope you never work for Frontier, ever. Then again you've taken care of that by working at 3 different regionals in what I assume is less than 3 years.

He will never be on my JS and I'll do everything within my power to make sure he never flies for F9.
Always look out for your fellow pilot and never cross the line.

Agreed. GoneSterile is the same guy that posted those disturbing youtube vids and then took them down once discovered by someone here on APC. His disturbing videos question if he should be flying (German Wings Andreas Lubitz). I ran into this guy at XJT before he went to Mesa.

Has anyone seen the proposed SWA contact?
Single SWA CA flying 140 pax makes more than entire A320 flight crew (CA+FO+4FAs). Somehow the economic conditions do not allow us to get a raise. The only positive I see for us is that it will help the negotiation process down the road.

This is a positive for us. The entire industry average compensation is going up. Since we began negotiations, Allegiant and SW have gotten big pay raises. Hawaiian and Delta should have raises sooner than later. JetBlue and Spirit are also ahead of us on their negotiations as well. So by the time we are getting close on ours, the industry average will have been brought up substantially. I congratulate SW

Exactly, the cost of a pilot is solidifying. Each day mgmt drags their feet, the more favorable conditions become for us. Wn hopefully ratifies a solid contract that establishes reasonable pay, benefits, retirement, and NO PBS!! Our mgmt will not have much of a choice, pay or we will strike with unity. If they feel as though we are not worth it, they may need to find another business to go rape and pillage!!
PBS in my opinion will be a sticking point, same as Spirit. Hard to argue for industry standard except PBS when it's nearly the standard.

I know that the union has said no to PBS, but I wonder what the majority of our pilots would need in pay to accept PBS? Everything is sale for a price! But let's not. I really really enjoy our vacation policy.

Are you referring to the new Assistant Chief Pilot? If so, do you know him personally? Have you had any dealings with him? I ask because I believe, if you had, your post would have a differnet tone. I would be very surprised if he's lirking or posting on this website. He has waaayyy too many other things to keep him busy outside of his managment duties to be wasting time here. Hell, before he ever became and ACP, he worked his PE stuff from his hotel room all the time. I happen to know him; not well, mind you, but I do know him. And I know him to be both a gentleman ith humility and, until he proves himself differently (which I highly doubt he will), a stand-up guy. Just because he chose to take a job in managment does not make him a bad person....maybe he's trying to make things better for all of us....maybe he figured that would be the best way to ride out what would have otherwise been commuting to fukking reserve....maybe he's trying to better his application for Delta (God help him) or United.....maybe, maybe, maybe......
Trust me, I'm certainly no managment troll or wanna-be, but one thing I am is a solid judge of character, and, in my eyes, he has an outstanding one.
I don't post on this board much, but I do call bullsh!t when I see it; and, if your post refers to him, it's bullsh!t. If it doesn't, then carry on and I apologize.
