Why? First year pay is a joke. That's exactly the attitude I'd like our new hires to have. They don't owe the company anything. Show up, get some Airbus time, and punch out at the first opportunity. Don't forget to shred the training contract on the way out either because it's not worth the paper it's written on.

If you subtract the training contract amount from first year pay at some of the legacies, you would still earn more than a 1st year FO at F9. That's just a mathematical fact, not spoken out of bitterness or resentment

Agreed. If we can't have guys just no-showing for class, the next best alternative is guys that are ****ed about first year pay (and all pay, for that matter).

The best fire has a hot bed of coals. There's no attitude in his/her observation- just numbers. That's exactly what we need in the new hire classes, not people who are happy to fly 230-seat airplanes at a 20+% profit margin for $25k take home pay. Remove the emotion from your responses. Flying for Frontier is a business transaction- nothing more, nothing less.

Wait, new hires aren't provided with a hotel room during training?

No, and they moved ground school to the SSS simulator building. There are no hotels are around that so it pretty much assures you will have to get a rental car in addition to a hotel room.

No. you may want to rethink your attitude. He's very right with his statement. When did you get hired at F9? First year pay here is an embarrassment even the one proposed by the MEC for LOA 67. This is supposed to be a professional job not a first gig place. Expect to be compensated accordingly.

That's unbelievable. Why are people even applying there? They are filling classes? A 2 year training contract, no hotel in training and freakin 38/hr 1st year pay. What the hell is going on there that management thinks this is acceptable?

I think people are probably applying everywhere trying to move up. You come here if no one else calls you. Like I have said in the past, it is better to be flying a bus and your own schedule than someone else's in an RJ when the music stops.

It does suck that this management wants to play like this. F9 should be a great place to work not a stepping stone.

This is an unfortunate reality for many of the new hires. A lot of us saw the immediate need to jump ship from the regionals and frontier happened to be the first place that offered a class date. Trust me, you'd have to be a real douche to shill for frontier like some of the guys on here. I'm ashamed to fly any of our fleet for our rates and junk contract but flying a packed 321 across the country for the laughable rates is truly embarrassing. I don't blame anyone for wanting to grab a quick type rating but to want to stay with what is going on here is poor judgment in my opinion.
